Mac mini M1 has no sound

I have installed the M1 native version of WoW on my Mac mini m1.

The game runs perfectly.

The sound does not.

I have reinstalled the OS and the game itself and still no sound.

I literally only have the power cable and my HDMI cable plugged into my Mac mini. The HDMI cable plugs into an LG TV, so this is what I have the sound set to at the system level.

In the game it only lets me select system default or no sound where both options still give no sound. What is weird in the voice chat options it lets me select LG TV as an output there, which got me thinking is the issue that its not bringing through the same aspect into the main sound output?

Is there a way to fix this? I feel like I have tried everything at this point.

Have you checked if you have the right output selected in System Preferences>Sound?

Also open Audio MIDI Setup in your Utilities folder and see if the device is there, it should say “Mac mini Speakers”.

Yes that was the first thing I did.

Can you elaborate on Utilities folder? I can’t find any such folder on my Mac.

I found this folder and everything in there looks as though its should be as it is. It is the correct settings.

Another Update:

So I was using a program called eqMac if I start this program up or uninstall it, the sound works again.
