Hi,
Updating to Mac OS Mojave the other day, from Mac OS High Sierra. Games works flawlessly, until I alt-tab to mail/safari/etc. Then the game freezes, beachball shows up and force quitting the game is the only solution to get back into the game. The rest of the game works like a charm, but super annoying not being able to swap to Discord, Twitch etc to stay updated without having to find somewhere safe, log out and log in again.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? I had no problems alt-tab´in with Mac OS HighSierra.

I understand your frustration but you should get in touch with a GM when you don't get an answer within 24 hours. Did you already check guides, forums, anything?
I´ve checked what can be checked I think. No solution yet, frustrating for sure.
windoweved - fullscreen, hopefully there's a workaround that will work that someone knows off :/

Have this problem as well, tried disabling all addons. Addons aren't the problem, seems it has to do with windowed fullscreen mode, works fine with windowed on. But the moment I enable windowed fullscreen, problem reappears.

Just gonna stick around here, I'm experiencing the same problem. I'm considering it might have something to do with our MacBooks, surprisingly they're always flawed when it comes to gaming.
2 Possible work-arounds I've found so far, one I mentioned earlier being playing with windowed mode on, second one being taking a cropped screenshot (Shift+Command+4) and then alt tabbing out. For some reason when I do this right before sliding to another desktop, my game wont be frozen when I get back to wow, seemingly no matter how long it is. You know, within reasonable scales, you'll still get booted to character menu for afking too long.
So be prepared for your desktop to be full of screenshots.

There is a thread already about this issue: https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/17623893739
A good workaround with latest Mojave 10.14.1 is to use CMD+H to hide WoW before switching to the different space or application.
