Mac support

Hi.

I’m trying to install wow on my girlfriend’s Mac so she can play but I get the error message 3d accelerator card not supported. I know her Mac is old and won’t play it that well but she just wants to quest etc and I’d rather see if she enjoys it before we go out and pay loads of money on a new computer.

Here system specs are as follows.

2.5ghz Intel core i5
4gb 1333 MHz ddr3
Amd Radeon HD 6750m 512mb

Looking at the minimum requirements it seems to match? What am I missing any help greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about classic or BfA?
BfA has 2GB VRAM listed under minimum requirements, your’s only has 0,5.

But the actual problem is, that WoW does not support older versions of the macOS anymore and also requires the Metal API afaik.

Tldr; that macbook is too old

Your Mac does not meet minimium requirements for either the BfA or Classic in Mac. For some older Macs installing Windows to Bootcamp is potential solution.

WoW Classic might work under Bootcamp in Windows but I am not sure if there is driver support for that GPU in Windows 10 anymore. You could always try and see if it works or not.

Probably best to buy a new computer.
