I’m fine with renaming the abomination Mac’Aree, but for the new name… I hope it already is well established in the Chronicles. If not, we do not need yet another place named after a race.
I like Macaree more.

This, and a very pretty LFD hairstyle was also named after it. It is Mac’Aree Dreams if I’m correct?
Imagine it being renamed to Eredath Dreams.

then again no matter if said dev was a jerk or not i dislike having whole zones named behind a person so
If they do it, please let them be accurate enough and rename the related quests, too. I know this should be standard, but in Blizzard’s case, I wouldn’t bet on them remembering to do so… At least not anymore…
We’ve just been talking about how Eredar resemble the original Sith species a while ago. Eredath Vader sounds fine with me…

Other changes include several NPCs:
- Jessera of Mac’Aree > Maatparm
- Scarlet Lord Jesseriah McCree > Scarlet Lord Borugh
- Marshal McCree > Marshal Patterson
- Jessup McCree > Kharmarn Palegrip
maybe instead or renaming stuff nobody cares about go and ban bots already? thanks

I hope those npcs aren’t quest givers, or all related quests in wowhead will have invalid info.
Most of them are, but as the names in the quests are changed too I fail to see how this is a problem. Also the NPCs were only renamed, their NPC ID number remains the same.
Renaming ethics aside, but holy cow, how many referential characters and zones did this man need to feel validated?

Yeah feels a bit narcissistic.
I agree with their stance that no future zones/characters should be named after team members. There’s a reason we build statues/monuments based on people only after their death.

you dont need to change npc names… you need to stop harassing women IRL…
these pathetic name changes… and sudden gameplay changes… does nothing but make blizzard look like they stood on a lego and had a massive shock.
just makes me shake my head… nothing they are doing right now is genuine and will fix anything.
