Hi, Guys, does anyone here play on a MacBook 16’ M3 Pro, tell me what your current FPS is in raids, in Myth+ and at what settings? I will be very grateful for your help. I’m just going to buy a new Macbook and is it worth getting the M3 Pro or is it better to wait for the new M4 which promises to be super powerful
The apple website doesnt tell you what specs your getting so I had to do some research and for £3,000 is a total rip off…
its a mobile chip set…
The specs are very vague…
You can get a 14th gen i9, 64g ddr5 2tb m2 drive and a 4080 super for less money…
With the issues that 13th and 14th gen i9s are having I wouldn’t recommend them, the 7800X3D is both cheaper and more efficient for gaming and WoW would absolutely love that extra cache.
They seem focused on going for a MacBook though, I wouldn’t recommend a MacBook either but there are YouTube videos showing them running okay (pro and max versions) but not spectacular for the price.
The new AMD are melting at the moment due to high voltage… The same issue that new world had with the gpus…
You mean the issue that was caused by motherboards allowing voltage to the CPU to be too high? That was resolved around a year ago.
Intel’s issue isn’t fixed and not only does their current solution not work (some users still having issues with crashing etc), it also drags the performance of those particular chips down a lot. There are even people who have had these particular CPUs replaced more than once and still continue to have issues.
It seems like you’re just trying to be argumentative for the sake of it so I’ll make this the last post in this thread. You’ve yet to answer the OP regarding what they actually asked.
Playing on M3 Max 40 GPU 16’ on 4K with 69% resolution scaling, all setting on Max, getting around ~110-150 FPS outdoors in Bastion if I turn on the fans on full blast. For some reason in Pandaria remix it stays in 40-90 FPS range, maybe it’s somehow less optimized cuz it’s old.
Basically, M3 Pro should handle WoW quite well
