Hey all.
I’ve got issue running the War Within on my mac. It’s a m3 pro machine running the latest macOS 14.6.1.After some random amount of time played, the whole machine INSTANTLY restarts. I’ve tried using windowed mode and reinstalling the game but the issue is still there. After the restart I get the window popup to give feedback to apple of the issue. Sometimes I play like 2m and others like 5m.
What could be the issue?
Sounds like a heat problem

Yeah, deffinitly. I used to have a laptop that did the exact same thing, years ago, that thing got hot enough to fry an egg while running games, and shut down to prevent component damage.
Laptops are just not ideal for heavy processes like gaming, because however powerful they may be, they cant dissipate heat like desktops, because of their compact design.
The fan doesn’t even turn on before it crashes. I’ve also tried to set it to the lowest settings to see if it lasts longer and it doesn’t. It’s not really warm to the touch after the crash, so I really doubt it’s a heat issue. There are a lot more demanding games than wow that run on this machine.
