MacBook Pro M1 vs M3 performance

Looking for any anecdotal observations from someone who’s upgraded from an M1 Pro to M3 Pro and the impact this had on WoW’s graphics.

I just bought a 16inch M3 pro, 18gb Ram. It’s beautiful but overkill for my needs. I’m looking to downgrade to a refurbished 16 inch M1 Pro. In the few days I’ve had this Wow has run an absolute dream, sitting at high graphical settings comfortably.

Did anyone who did the reverse upgrade see a noticeable upgrade to peformance? Or can I expect to only jump down a few graphics presets?

Appreciate any thoughts

And why do you want to downgrade to a refurbished old device? It’s not the best choice regarding longevity, resale value or some “new” feature compatibility Apple may bring.

With 16GB+ of RAM, it will run completely fine. At worst you would have to set a more sane render scale if the display will be high resolution.
