Macbook: "Scale to fit below built-in camera" not working properly

EDIT: lol TIL about the “Notch Mode” option. I just had to shift it to “Window Below” instead of “Shift UI Down” …

Hi! I need help with something.

Before the pre-patch, and in every other game, “Scale to fit below built-in camera” adds a black bar at the top of my screen, and shoves the game down a bit.

After the pre-patch, these things happen instead:

  • With the option turned off: Things are more or less in the position they’re supposed to at the top, but there’s no black bar.

  • With the option turned on: The black bar appears, but an area of the UI, is shoved down too, 30 pixels tall. So when I open my world map, above it you can see the top of the non-UI game.

But even in the first option, only the top UI adjusts. Say I open the bags, they still go to the very top of my screen, with parts hidden behind the built-in camera. As for the bottom of the screen, the UI there, I can’t tell whether it’s right or not because everything’s so oddly scaled now.

Summary: With it turned off, the scaling is… KINDA right, but there’s no black bar. With it turned on the whole UI is shoved down. It only affects the UI.
