Macro advise - timed interrupt?

Does anyone know of or have an example where you can cast a skill, but it gets interrupted after a specific amount of time passed? Ideally looking for an all in one I can just stick into one macro.

No there is no such macro. Just bind stopcasting and do it.

That’s sad.

I was looking to make one for mounting as I know you can mount a little faster if you interrupt at about the 90%-95% completion mark. Would have set a mount to use and the interrupt to occur at 90%-95% of cast.

It’s easy, but tedious to it manually all the time.

If there was such macro it would be “scripting” that is not allowed.

This is not faster - it’s from your perspective. It’s server lag.

It would? OK then, I’ve only ever used macros to put in a bunch of tomtom cords for convinience so its new territory for me.

That sounds like it wasn’t a macro, just entering things into the console

A macro is a very specific thing in WoW, used to bind keys and produce different effects; e.g. have a button that heals the target you are mousing over without having to target them.

They’re very worth having
