Please create a macro to control the healer in the arena, the macro for the target in focus is not fully working, because there are druids that enter invisibility and the target of focus is lost, there are also night elves that can enter invisibility.
So play with arena 123 then? Dont see the issue here. Some classes and one race have stealth, nothing new.
My way faster, and more comfortable, when i have just 1 macro to CC healer. Sometimes I lose attention about healer and in important moment i try to CC him using my macro, but focus target lost. When u use arena1 arena2 u need more keys.
You can use one Arena123 macro and just change the number to whatever number the healer is on the list.
You can do this with addons that support dynamic macros.
i use three keybinds to set arena 123 as focus target.
like that u need less keybinds compared to having all cc/interrupts on arena 123 and ur able to redo or swap ur focus fast if needed.
Change macro all the time its not better then 1 macro for this
As the others said your better off using arena 1 2 3 macros. For example for Wind Shear I have it as a macro bound to the R key to kick arena 1 (but targets current target if no arena 1 exists so its useable in bgs and otuside arena etc) then shift+R for arena 2 and ctrl+R for arena 3. Your far better off using 123 and getting used to it because there will be many times you need to kick or cc someone other than the healer.
There isnt macro to stop focus targets disappearing, only way is 123 macros. Put them on shift ctrl alt 123 and wheel etc

Focus to stay between resets you mean. I guess it would yea, it was the first thing that made me switch to 123 as noticed focus kept dropping. But I dont have anything against using 123 macro, focus would be for battlegrounds if that ever becomes relevant for me still.
You can wirte a simple addon which will do the following: scan the enemy roles in arena and generate a macro which will automatically be /focus correct arena index, bind this macro to an invisible button on your screen.
This button can be pressed via a macro without mouse interaction. Which results in automatically setting the enemy healer as focus, if your macro follows with a /cast [@focus] YourSpell you can CC the enemy healer without setting focus manually, even if he stealthed.
Wont post the code tho, i am a little bit afraid that some ppl might see this as something against ToS and spam report.
If i remember correctly there is an addon on curse which does the same thing, but scans your macros instead and changes /focus arena1 to the correct id. the same code basically.
