how do you get /cast [@cursor] to work for aoe? seen a few videos from wotlk classic with this working, but for me and my friends it is unsuccessful https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=zrrcrtb9h9U&ab_channel=Paper
It just does, assuming it’s a ground targetted aoe.

good for you? the whole point is that it doesn’t work for me or my friends nor a few people in the comments of these online ‘guides’. how does telling me “it works just fine” help anyone. at all?
p.s ive made thousands of macros for over a decade and i know how a simple [@cursor] is supposed to work.

Show us the macro that doesn’t work, we’re not mind readers. The macro shown in the video should work, so something is going wrong on your end.
Also, might be a stretch, but is there a player or pet named ‘cursor’ in your raid? We had a guy named that in our raid at one time, and it messed up all @cursor macros we had, it tried to target the guy named Cursor.
Does the spell have a target reticule?
That video shows it working fine.

Are you sure it’s a ground target aoe and not one that just activates in a radius around your character or the target?
