Mag’har Frostwolf Background RP Queries

Hey, I tried to search around but wanted to clarify some stuff.

When I unlock Mag’har orcs, I really want to RP a Frostwolf.

Firstly, which skin colour is best for them, the more orange brown or the kinda pink brown? And can I use one with the markings or definitely not?

In terms of where I’d be from, as a non corrupted Frostwolf, would I be from the alternate Draenor? I’m a bit confused as I read there are Mag’har orcs from Outland too. Could I have been a follower of Durotan? I’ve got kinda lost on locations and timelines.

How could I explain being here amongst others and in Orgrimmar etc. Am I correct in thinking this would basically all be odd and new to me?

Also, what age range would make sense? I want to ideally be a young to mid adult.

Are parents likely to still be around?

Also, I know this race can be priests. How would that work lore wise for a Frostwolf? Or just not at all? Or more of a Shaman maybe?

Thanks for any help!

I can’t answer all questions but :

-Even though all in game Mag’har are technically from alternate Draenor,it falls to you to decide if your character is from Outland or Draenor, and you have to build your story accordingly

-Priests are more of a shadowmoon thing,I think a Shaman would make much more sense here

As said above me, all playable mag’har are the WoD orcs.
And yes, it is very confusing.
The unlock scenario however should explain most things.

So these Mag’har orcs; where would the mages fit in? Shadowmoon? Frostwolves? I would love to race changeMartok into a Frostwolf frost mage… He does already have the “of the Frostwolves” title. He even has that frostwolf ghost pup from WoD

Essentially if you are playing on an RP Realm, a large amount of your background is up to you, within reason. I mean not every human in existence starts out at Northshire Abbey, some will have been born in Stormwind, in Westfall, Duskwood, Theramore even. Yes, the racial background has you start in Northshire Abbey, but they can’t write different starting levels dependent upon roleplayers, so there has to be a certain amount of suspension of disbelief.

The Mag’har character starting experience is on WoD’s Draenor, -not- Outlands. -However- there is no reason you could not play a Mag’har from Outlands. I mean we manifestly -know- that this is possible, I mean famously so, with a certain douchecanoe of a Warchief.

Now Garrosh’s story does show him getting some odd looks for his skin colour (Which did strike me as odd, I mean all Orcs would -know- they originally had that skin colour apart from the very youngest of children) But they intrinsically recognised him as an Orc.

I’d say go for it. I actually have a Frostwolf alt myself, but he was a babby when they came through the portal, so is a greenskin. WoD actually gives some amazing armour sets for Frostwolf Transmogs

Is what I went with, but obviously that’s Mail gear, so depends what class you plump for.

In Character though, Yeah, you can be an MU Mag’har, or an AU Mag’har, Frostwolf is a cool choice, and facial markings are a personal choice, not restricted by Clan, so go for it.

Thanks! That’s concise and helpful.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who finds things a bit confusing. Thanks for your reply and clarifying things!

Good point.

Haha!

Awesome, thanks! That’s really cool to know about the armour. I’m going to work on getting the Frostwolf title too.
Your Frostwolf looks great!
