Mage AOE cap - Put a AOE cap on blizzard slow

ive been watching some streams of the TBC beta, and the worst part of classic is already back… Mage boosts (and even the slave pens solo now…) ruin the social aspects of the game. Can you guys consider putting a AoE cap on the slow that blizzard provides?

Something like diminishing the slow that blizzard provide 1% per mob after the first 20 mobs. So it does not intervene in PVP or other normal pve content, but it cancels the mage boost.

I think the only way to stop boosts is to fix mob pathing which is probably very hard to do. All these big pulls that mages do is possible or made easy due to jumping up and down on a “bridge”, causing mobs to take a long path to reach the mage.

As Umui said, this will do nothing to fix the problem.

Have noticed there is only a single mage in the instance, therefore you will deal 0% damage until you have full group.

And don’t forget Paladins, who will be tier 1 AoE farmers as well. This was possible back then and will be now. Obnoxious AoE pulls of like 500 Mara mobs is kind of to much but just breaking AoE for the sake of breaking isn’t the best thing to do. People won’t socialize due to lack of AoE boosts. They will buy Blizzard one and find other ways to quickly level to 70 etc.

At best pathing could be fixed so the AoE kiting isn’t as ridiculous.
