According Noxxic simCraft ( real mode) Mage DPS is TOO LOW. Whatever mage you play(arcane, fire or frost). Can we hope Mage Buff???

I can confirm that is TOO LOW. I did multiply dungeons with different setups: Hunter take ALWAYS Nr1 DPS. Tanks make equal or more damage is Mage. ROFL.
Looks like Blizzard don’t like mages and class must be disabled as well…

Please don’t use Noxxic, it’s absolutely awful. In fact, pay no attention to any sort of DPS rankings at the moment - they’re not relevant and won’t be accurate until the raid is launched.
I agree tanks are doing a ton of dmg in dungeons but mages are fine. Looking midtable I think.
if you say so: but the people use details -damage ranking. You get place in raid only if you make enough dps- according details. Details confirms currently that Noxxic ranking is ok. Huner , Shadopriests take always Nr 1

Actually they look like that simcraft ones. Arcane is 6th, fire 11th, thats fine. Frost is lower but it’s a strong cleave spec so it’s less likely to be good on ST.
There will be tuning yet too, the difference between top and bottom is too high rn. Shadow and Balance are preforming too well on ST for specs that excel on spread cleave also.
Its not low… you just can’t stand there anymore and get carried by Combustion, I’m normally first on DPS as Frost in the mythic’s I’ve been doing.
Im losing only to hunter in dungeons as a fire. Dont like scorch talent and firestorm legendary as it make crit useless for fire, but i enjoy playing fire more than i though i will.
Their all good, Arcane, Frost and Fire… I don’t know what’s going on with all these people complain they do no dmg.

That is because hunter is grossly overpowered not because mage is bad.

I main frost mage this expansion and sometimes i’m amazed of results and sometimes i just cry into my pillow, when proc god is on my side i can peak at 4k dps in single target at 169 ilvl, if rng god is moody i can finish boss with 2,2k dps, i would want stable 3k dps instead of that wide spread but can’t help, i like frost gameplay the most.
If you don’t want rng you playing the wrong spec i’m afraid.
Warcraftlogs is starting to fill out of you want a rough idea how the specs are lining up… before the likely balance hotfixes at the end of the week.
Mage is pretty average atm, you’re right. But I wouldn’t call mage a bad class. If you play a frost mage, try getting the glacial fragments legendary. You can just spam ice lance on blizzard and ditch frostbolt, at least on +3 targets. I was doing about 4.5k dmg overall in a dungeon at about 183 ilvi. Sure, hunters and such might do more, but mages aren’t bad either.
My gear on fire just hit 185 in gen.
Did first normal raid this eve, cleared 4 boss’s.
Got to top dps spot on 1 of them and around 3rd to 5 on a few others.
Lot of it depends on our legendary procs for additional instant pyros and I hope that goes up with the upgrades.

i play frost and I have 4k-4.5 k sustianed in every dungeon I do and im top dps. Think you guys dont play it right
let me know if u need any tips on frost this season. People who got glad from combustion 1,2,3 in bfa will struggle a lot in sl if u dont master the real gameplay
I know, but I learnt Mage at its core while playing Frost as RMD not from playing Fire… So I already know how the class works out side of 123 comboost. Its a far more enjoyable spec than Fire imo.
So please don’t mark me down as a BFA 123 Fire Mage.
