Mage Need remake?

mage is my favorite class in all MMOS but only WoW recently stick to mage to be proper mage, but recently mage doesnt feel right to me like i wish at some point mage especially arcane had some type of arcane lightning storm spell or chain to hit multiple mobs or something else but anyway, i would be nice if arcane had compare to fire pop aoe that hit and smash hard cuz arcane aoe doesnt feel like that, and maybe som more time magic spells, more aoe Barriers like khadgar ? how can we be leader of mages from mage campaigne but we can pop huge barrier that absorb all magic for x sec while protecting everyone behind the mage ?

Blizz Make Mages Great Again !

P.S: Mage Table would be nice if it gives buff(depending on your class and spec) if u consume food while u are have this in your inventory give it spawn of 1h or something .

I’m really enjoying arcane mage personally. Arcane surge and touch of the magi and blasting orbs and barrages like all hell is loose Is where i get my chain hits on multiple mobs from.

I really wish we had a talent that lets us click where the arcane orb goes tho. Like Frost mages had with frozen orb… I see no reason arcane orb has to travel -This- far as it does.

I have to position my self weird and awkwardly around the packs so I don’t accidentally pull the whole dungeon. And that happens embarrassingly allot.

Also arcane lightning and more flashy arcane animations has my full support.

id prefer if they remake arcane orb ( don’t know if you did black rock qust of illidan) into this arcane meteor really huge thing aoe smash + dot that would be great or somthing in style of starfall of druid , and apply aoe doets but also adding u some type of buff to spells

Would this then remove your int buff? Because otherwise this wouldn’t be fair.

And anyway you already have int, tw and a ton of things to deal with affixes.

On Classic mage is one of the most popular classes. On retail it is one of the least.

This in spite of the fact that we’re quite strong.

There’s definitely something wrong with it.

But as soon as I start discussing I just get s bunch of people coming at me telling me to l2p, so I guess why bother.

same here,

Yeah, my raid group in retail only has 1 mage, and it’s because the guy’s been a main mage forever.

I wanted to get into playing a mage when the mage rework was done in 10.1.5, but I hate how bloated all mage specs have become.

Rework warrior before mage again plz

Just arcane that needs a rework, the button bloat is ridiculous. I love fire and even enjoy frost.

I wish they’d never done the rework tbh. My rotation added 5 new buttons midseason. Dumbest thing ever.

And then shortly afterwards they added another 2 in PvP through tuning adjustments.

Imagine having to find 7 new binds midseason. They lost their bloody minds.

I could maybe give a mage another go, if they reworked fire to be a RNG based spec. In between 8.2 to 8.3 i changed from mage to destro lock. I really dont like Hot Streak as a concept.

The joke is that Arcane requires a PHD to run well.

Other specs are alright but… like fire requires combust pulls in M+, frost annoys people on sanguine, for example. Also constantly going into melee for coldest snap. It has its problems. Probably nothing major but I agree there is something off about mages. But I can’t quite put my finger on it. I’m trying other classes and they just feel better. Mages are… clunky?

It does feel clunky and button bloated.

I play it mostly because I used to it, did a lot of things and kind a connected with my character. Would really like to see some changes which will implement some new playstyles, mechanics and easier learning curve and approach for newcomers since right now, Mage is not very new player friendly class.

Even when mage is absurdly, hilariously OP, there are still almost none.

When Blizzard buffs rets into the stratosphere they’re like a swarm of locust, for a point of comparison.

People just don’t want to play mage. They just don’t care how OP we are. It’s remarkable.

the problem is too much buttons but weird type of damage either some spells and underpowered or some too op but too many to remember about and press

Arcane could do with a bit of a rework. I never could get my head around it properly (could just be the weird way I think). I had the same problem with Warlocks until changes were made and I like mine now, so maybe I’d be better with Arcane with a few more tweaks.

I love my fire mage, she is one nasty lady who’ll burn you and all your little friends to a crisp and laugh while doing it.
I’ve dabbled a bit with frost and while I don’t see it having the punch of fire, it can still be fun.

I personally find I work best as a frost mage when in a group with someone else taking aggro, but my fire mage is just rampant chaos and mass destruction in all circumstances. Knowing my luck, guess who’ll get tweaked and nerfed.

Fire is brilliant because it’s just BAM BAM BAM fire and chaos everywhere!
Arcane is pretty but clunky and confusing.
Frost is in between, it’s a safe spec… and mostly boring. Although glacial spike is rather satisfying.
You’re right though, they always ruin the fun.

Mastering the clunk is a part of the skill cap xD It’s really frustrating I know… But frost mage bores me… And fire and arcane frustrates me and I keep coming back at them trying and trying again too master the clunkyness. With various success…

It took me a long time to get the basics of arcane mage down. But once you’ve figured it out you almost feel dumb it took you so long. :man_facepalming:

Wowhead and the guides and the tutorials makes it look allot worse than it actually is.
I still can’t handle fire mage even if my life depended on it.

Mages already got a rework 2 patches ago. Wait your turn please  It’s hunter rework time!

Oh god, please leave hunters alone. Remember the legion rework? They butchered suvival hunters into some abomination
