I can’t choose between mage and rogue… Im looking for something fun, strong in PvP, competitive vs all classes 1v1, good for world stuff and solo play. I played a rogue in legion and it was awesome. Now im thinking about mage… but i haven’t played mage for a few years… so i don’t know how good they are atm.
We all know that rogues always been the most powerful 1v1 class… but how about mages? Can mage kill a rogue in 1v1 fight?
What you think its more fun and why?
Are they good ( or better ) than rogues? Or i should stay with my rogue too in BFA
In a 1v1 open world environment a mage can absolutely beat a rogue. However it’s not as simple as that. Best chance is frost mage vs sub/assa rogue (outlaw is much harder to beat if played well) with no LoS when you start to add variables such as LoS, azerite traits, gear etc it can skew either way.
I think mage is definitely viable and relatively fun, if you’re going to compare it to say MoP era mage then you’ll likely be disappointed. I have and always will probably main a mage however if you’re wanting fun and solo play based you might as well stick with the rogue, it will likely feel more familiar to you from the get go if you played it in legion.
