I would like to try to play 2v2 mage/rogue, but I have never played a dps in Arena, so what is easier to play ?
Should I start to try as mage or as rogue ? i like both so I want to start with the easier to play.

Mage is super easy, just poly and burst.

Well I think its impossible to say. When rogue/mage is the rogue as sub, the rogue can carry the mage. The mage can also carry the rogue. Quite often in expansions one can become a CC bot to the other as well.
I would say if you like melee go rogue and if you like casters go mage :S The mage is often the one being trained depending on the set ups. it can be pretty fast paced so whichever you’re most comfortable with generally.

I have seen many videos and in real it don’t looks like Pyro Pyro Pyro poly as mage, it look like mage is harder to play than rog in real, just my opinion… Is it completely wrong ?

No its pretty well known the skill in RMX comps mostly comes from the mage whereas rogue just kidneybots + PvEs (until you get to like r1 level). Firemages are just super strong atm so people get emotional bias involved.

Play rogue because the spec’ll carry you, and then you just need to find an alpha mage that can also carry you, like Coldshade.

They’re very different to one another, so it’s not a question that’ll have a definite answer. People find difficulty in different playstyles, some of them are more natural to us than others…and from what I’ve seen on youtube footage, both the mage and the rogue can change outcome of games depending on their skill and ability in playing the game. Do you prefer melee or casters? That’s probably the important question there.

Alpha mage is a perfect description of Coldshade-ArgentDawn.
I too think that describing Coldshade-ArgentDawn in this way really pictures what Coldshade-ArgentDawn is capable of with his character Coldshade-ArgentDawn
If I had to tell you one which you would play with a rogue, I’d probably say you’ll be more happy playing mage over rogue especially with the transition into SL, the amount of damage and utility the mage has which new players can pick up compared to using a rogues utility is definitely noticeable, if you really intend on playing rogue–you might as well go play ww monk cause they perform better than rogue without corruptions, in PVP anyway
To be honest, mage is obviously carrying rogue in Mage/Assa setup where Assa is pveing people down.
If you want to be the playmaker, I think Sub rogue is the way to go. I am not 100% sure whether it is accurate at higher ranks, but in 2k-2.1k it’s viable and very fun to play (when in contrast - assasination is resident sleeper)

Both are very hard at high cr. however with 2s I think just think if you prefer caster or melee and go from there, it’s really that simple
