am curious as i just did the WoD into questline on yet another alt and its what Kargath calls Kadgar.

one is playable and the other is not
To me a wizard is someone who studies magic, and a mage is just someone who has a natural affinity for it.
Wizards are purple.
Argent dawn players calling other people nonces.

Huh, from wowhead all Wizards are humans… Save for one nightborne.
Not sure there is one, really. Same as calling someone a sorcerer.
However in D&D there is a difference between a sorcerer and a wizard, they are two different classes.
So, given WoW is based (to a point) upon D&D my educated guess would be they used Mage in order to exclude people’s preconceptions of how the class would play. Further more, and more likely, “Mage” is a gender neutral term whereas you have wizard/witch and sorcerer/sorcereress.
