Mage Tower Artifact Appearances

Yeah dude, you’ll never get to outscale MT with Antorus LFR gear :person_shrugging:

If anything the challenge is even greater now, they keep tuning it to make it relevant further down the line.

Why are you so against evergreen systems, when we know they’re good for the game? I believe many players want more evergreen content, so we have an excuse to explore the WORLD of Warcraft.

Instead of 80% of the players just camping Dornogal between Qs until next xpac, when the Isle of Dorn becomes another ghost zone.

Sure buddy… But when someone said “See who they are dealing with” you called it “bullying” :joy: But sure, “no harm intended” when you call me a tinfoil hat :joy:

Again, I have asked you to accept my opinion, and let me move on.

Can we all agree to disagree? A majority are happy for others to have the opportunity, and some are not. That’s their view. By that logic you should not be able to get mounts or meta achievements. All old content should be locked.

Blizzard, for all those transmog hunters out there, let us get the rewards for the challenges.

I mean. look, it’s hardly a coherent statement to say that they’re hiring people to target people with addiction issues.

Ofcourse they are hiring professionals to improve engagement. Ofcourse they know who their target audience is. Ofcourse they can predict what people do, and how they will react.

But you keep making out it’s a sinister activity.

But you don’t consider that might be exactly what we want.

I play video games for an escape, to be taken on an adventure and an experience where I don’t need to think about the outside world.

The difference I have over some people (apparently), is that I know when it’s time to stop and go back to reality, when to put my credit card away. That’s called self control, and you’ll be surprised at how many other players can do that.

Yeah yeah I’ve said my part:

I will just for the fancy readers, point out the whole habits part and how it was debunked has not been adressed

This is what I have been saying all along.

There are 2 different opinions, neither side will see or agree to the others.

Sadly, it’s only a majority to those who participate in online discussions. We don’t know how the whole player base would feel.

But as I pointed out earlier. If a change is an improvement for some, but a negative for others. Then it’s not really an improvement at all. A change should be an improvement for everyone, not an improvement for some at a cost for other peoples.

I would like the opportunity. That’s my opinion. That’s my hope.

I wasn’t expecting my post to evoke such feelings.

Well I am trying to have a discussion with you. But you seem to trying to prove some false accusation about me.

I haven’t called you any names. I did say I thought you gave a tin-foil hat theory, but without any intended offence. I even apologised when you were offended by it.

Also you haven’t shared any scientific papers. But then I don’t really consider this a scientific dicussion.

What matters is that there is someone here who enjoy the game the way it is designed. Whether there is a science behind that or not doesn’t really matter. What matters is the game is enjoyable.

Your opinion is based in absurdity and contradictions, that’s why I won’t accept it.

It will probably be 6 months between S1 and S2 by the time it comes around. Many players are dying for new content, meanwhile you say:

Which to many rings incredibly hollow.

Also:

Challenges are a way for the individual player to test their skill in an environment isolated from external factors.

They’re all about your personal prowess, of course people wanna strive to complete them. The cosmetics are of course a big draw as well.

As stated again, your former statement about the challenges not being as challenging, is just not true. Why do you keep bringing it up when it’s a false statement?

Unfortunately, this topic comes up far too much and the result is always the same. It’s two very different opinions who will never see the other sides point of view.

I try to be openminded myself. And I really do understand and appreciate where you are coming from.

But sadly my open-mindedness provokes people like Doc, Fhulgrim and Totem, that seem to have taken offence to my difference of opinion and are trying to make out I’m crazy rather than just leaving me alone and letting me get on with life.

Because it doesn’t fit what your narrative.

That’s fine. But just accept I have an opinion and let move on. please.

Nope. I’ll leave the above for ya

If you were actually interested in a proper discussion you would’ve acknowledged the link I provided instead of calling me a tinfoil hat… And again, the hypocrisy shines when YOU called it bullying when somoen said “Who they are dealing with” about you.

So, I stand corrected:

My narrative, based on your own statements:

Which is false. You could easily outgear the original MT challenge, stop pretending what went away was because it “wouldn’t feel the same”, that’s a totally asinine statement when compared to the reality of things.

My narrative, as you call it, makes no sense because you are making no sense.

Should we tell the people that are going for 0.1% and cutting edge can’t have it because there has been a big class overhaul and we got the ring that is going to be BiS?

I mean… The challenge of the achievement is not the same as the start of the expansion afterall!

All i was doing is merely pointing out what you were saying,i begged you to stop bullying me and to stop with harassment.
Why drag me into this again, please leave me out of it.

Why do you keep misquoting yourself?

Hey look.

Your argument is fine. I’m happy with what you have presented. And you are welcome to have this opinion and feel this way.

But you seem insistent on trying to change my mind and prove I am wrong in some way. That simply is not going to happen.

Rather than constantly trying to attack me, maybe just accept I have a difference of opinion.

I’m going to quote myself again, because I think you may have missed it:

You’re saying FOMO is bad because they target people.

I’m saying. Hey I want this. This is exactly the type of game and experience that I want. Blizzard are providing that for me, and I’m having a great time. And I put the game down and get on with life when I’m finished.

That’s not a bad thing. That’s how it’s designed to be played.

Are people going to fall victim? Sure, but again that is their problem. People fall victim to all sorts of normal every day activities which are considered healthy. Some people exercise too much, eating too much fruit rots your teeth… the list can go on. We’re human, we all have our faults… hell I even had a pizza tonight and I said I was giving up (that’s tomorrows me problem).

Just accept the game is design a certain way because people enjoy it being that way. they’re not going out of their way to get you. But they are a business, they are allowed to promote themselves to make more money.

I’ll leave this here once again

But don’t we have different talent trees and spells, and class tuning now?

It’s a completely different game from the moment BFA prepatch dropped. Thats when the challenge changed. Not when you could outgear it at the end of the expansion.

Besides, Legion expansion was marketed in the final few months to those who didn’t have it (I was one), as buy Legion now and earn the Mage Tower appearances before they disappear forever. That meant before BFA pre-patch you had to buy both Legion and BFA separately to get access to them. I know this, because I didn’t own legion and returned to the game for BFA.

So for them to put them back would mean that it’s false advertising and not fair to those who did buy legion to get them.

Again, I’m trying to discuss this topic with you, and you’re quoting me out of context.

Again, I do feel you claiming that:

Is a tin-foil hat theory.

Sorry that you seem to have taken offence to that rather than listening to why I disagree with that comment. But again, I’ll quote myself here:

So, if you’re just going to drop a few out of context quotes and try and make out that I’m some kind of monster that people are dealing with. Then I’m afraid you’re the one not willing to discuss the topic, and maybe you’re just as bad as you think I am.
