Mage Tower Artifact Appearances

It is kinda like calling regular brushing of the teeth a challenge of determination

Yeeeh - because I see none (at least very few!) people in this thread saying “Give me all MT appearence in wardrobe now!!” it’s all just asking for the challenge to be available to be earned

And then comes the whole “It wouldn’t be the same!” proceeds to ignore all the comments about challenges that has become harder

Back to gate-keeping the time (Not the challenge).

Ofcourse it will come back for the Legion remix, and they will also make it so the appearance can be transmogged freely on any class who can use the weapon type.

  • it was kinda hinted in the trailer for player housing

Can’t say I’m familiar with it, but sounds better than just flat-out removing content.

That last part sounds exciting in general, but as someone who only plays hunter, I have to say: Meh.

SV should at the very least be given a dual wield 1h option, as far as I’m concerned.

Then please explain how is:

Different to completing in-game challenges in an Esports based game, and winning trophy cosmetics to show off your accomplishments?

Wow is a competitive hobby for people. They deserve their rewards.

I’m the Op and this comment actually refers to thread devolving into toxic back and forth. Not the actual topic.

I see my bad.
Sadly this topic always attracts the people who feel really strongly one way or another and consider any different opinion to be heresy. If you are tired of the topic, I recommend you to change the tracking status of the topic so you do not get notified.
Eventually people will run out of things to say and it will stop

With all honesty, I do not know if there a significant amount of people who care about what other people have achieved in WoW these days outside of scores to decide who to invite for current content.
The days where one would see a warrior decked in full T3 and revere them as a demigod, are long past.

Instead there are a lot of people who care about how their character looks and want to be able to access the full range of customization for their dream transmog.

I went way out of my way to get every single mage tower skin in Legion. All for the sake of not missing out on transmogs that I might want to use later.
It was not pleasant, I had to play a lot more than I was comfortable with to gear and learn all the specs to the point of doing this within the limited time of the ~2nd year of expansion. This is not a healthy playstyle to encourage.
It ended up making me enjoy the endgame a lot less after that.

I do think there are those who will look on certain rewards and spend a few seconds going “huh, that’s neat that they got that” - and then move on.

The aesthetics being the main draw is, in my opinion, head on the nail correct however. I want things because they look amazing or fit the fantasy I’ve built for my characters, not to rub it in faces of latecomers to the game.

I 100% disagree with this statement.

Whilst I appreciate that this is a growing population. It is not a reason to disregard the former.

Hey that’s your loss.

If you don’t enjoy something then simply don’t do it! Remember you don’t need to collect every look. It’s that kind of mentality that makes these threads.

Be happy with what you have. And let the special be special.

Why though?

Fomo either keeps the same people in keeps the rest out, it does not help get new people in.

I cannot help but feel confused about how on one hand you agree that people should not go out of their way to do things they do not like to get things they do want.
While at the same time you imply that fomo, a system that incentivizes that behavior is good.

Personally I would never put myself through a second mage tower thing again now. But I will still call it out as something that should exist without rewards other than the accomplishment itself

Instead of asking for new content …old content .

Oh they are more than welcome to make new armor sets and weapon models that surpass the old ones instead of stuff that seem to be made by rocks, kobold earwax and scrap metal (or plastic styrofoam)

You will stay confused, the fella is incapable of articulating properly why his stance is the way it is.

He keeps throwing out nonsense statements as facts while falling back to insisting on others’ respect his opinion and feelings, without explaining his train of thought or logic.

Really hard to take seriously imo.

Pilgrimfive is just trolling at this point, try and work with him and try and find common ground he dosnt wanna know, Argue with him and its post after post of him crying about why your wrong. So in the end its not worth it.

But to get back on point, I think enough time as gone by where ppl sould really get another shot at this now

Like I don’t need you to explain why you disagree with me. You don’t need me to explain why I don’t disagree with you.

You have simply just written a statement from your own perspective and passed it off as a fact.

The people who stop playing WoW because of time limited rewards, were not going to stick around anyway.

Because it’s how you view Time limited rewards. If you view it as FOMO, then that’s 75% of your problem right there. That’s not a problem for those of us who don’t care for collecting items and just want something to improve out game enjoyment.

I am actually doing some Rated PVP for the Elite sets this season. I have looked at them in the past, but I don’t enjoy Arena’s and couldn’t be bothered to commit to a RBG group. But this season, with Solo RBGs, I have a way to collect them that I will find enjoyable.

My point is, that I never look back on those previous seasons and get upset for not collecting those sets. I simple wasn’t good enough or commited enough to earn them. Well done to those to have them though.

That just makes the game better. It’s an incentive to play it. Nobody cares if you don’t get it.

If it needs extra incentives to make it worth playing, it is not fun enough.
Period.

PS: Plunderstorm version two is a perfect example of a mode that is fun enough to play even after getting all the stuff it has.

Just like you did, look yourself in the mirror.
It is not a fact it is how we see things from our own PoV, neither of us is in any decision making position.

It feels like talking to that Elias guy again, I gave him the benefit of doubt but I think I reached the limits of my patience. I am fine with people disagreeing with me, I have argued with many ppl for that issue, but something is fishy with that one.
