So blizz announced they weren’t bringing Mage Tower appearances back for Legion remix… Which had me thinking…
I joined WoW back in Legion RIIIIIGHT before the Mage Tower became unavailable. And as a completely new player at that time, I somehow managed to get the Mage Tower appearance for my Unholy DK.
But the COOLEST color variant (the blue one), is locked behind “winning 10 Rated BGs”…
I am primarily a PvP player, but I always avoided Rated BGs, since it took 1-2 hours to put together a group of players. And once you entered a match, you went up against people sitting on voice chat, absolutely NUKING our team. Then people would get mad and leave, and you had to start from scratch, setting up a new team the next 1-2 hours…
And now… As WoW’s PvP is being neglected like CRAZY, and we are getting more and more “solo PvP game modes”, Rated BGs has now COMPLETELY died out…
This entire week, I went and looked at Premade Groups for Rated BGs… and ONCE did I see a group with only 1 person in it, titled “trying to get mage tower tint”…
Honestly… I think it’s about time to make the Mage Tower PvP tint, count towards “winning 10 BG Blitz”… Otherwise people who still need it, will have a TOUGH time getting it, seeing it only gets harder and harder…
Yes battleground blitz 8v8 format with slightly different rules to traditional rbgs but shares all seasonal rating locked achievements and rewards with all other rated modes from arenas to shuffles.
I’m still confused what version of wow youre playing as youre speaking of legion remix and blitz, can you play blitz in legion remix?
Anyways… the weekly pvp quests in retail that says “win 10/10 games in arenas” and you win games in shuffles counts towards those arena wins. I would assume same for “win rbg” but I havent seen such quests yet. No clue of mage tower related pvp achievements havent even heard of such
Thats over half year ago? and you made this thread to complain of something is “impossible to get” and have no knowledge of current? okay… well good that it got sorted out then. I’m still confused about the legion remix part though you mentioned but it seems we got all in order here and you can get your rbg wins in blitz literally and there is no problem.

I mentioned Legion Remix, because the post about mage tower artifacts Blizz put out, made me revisit the original artifacts we acquired back in Legion. Only the first line of my post is about remix. The rest is about retail Legion many years ago.
Ok, glad its sorted. Shuffle/blitz both count toward arena/rbg wins. Hope you get what u want, according what this one said in the thread i imagine it will be easy “You have to have the base tint of it mogged and just win 10 bgs in blitz. Done it several times” good luck!
I’m baffled that it has been hotfixed right after I tested to see if it worked. DK is my favorite class, but I always had a “ugh ” feeling associated with it, because that particular skin is my dream weapon appearance hehe. Every other weapon tmog just “wasn’t good enough” hehe.
So knowing I could have unlocked it since last year, makes my head spin.
Thanks yeah I have played the same DK since Legion, for this reason. Once I get the appearance, I will finally be free to create a new one hehe. Thanks for letting me know ^^
