Mage Tower - Guardian Druid / Overall Gameplay / Shadowlands / 04.08.2022

Having reached 700 hundred runs in the Mage Tower as a guardian druid in the Shadowlands, I can’t think of a more appropriate and gentle way to say it, but XXX you both ways for your constant and unwavering attitude!

Why?

It’s because people complain about putting up with your unreasonable demands, per-written GM texts, and lack of intervention or improvement on the subject.

I’m not an unreasonable person, player, but the complaints have been since the beginning of BFA, coming from different people who tried Mage Tower after Legion and came to the same conclusion, that it is much more difficult than it was then.

I don’t know why you don’t listen to our requests, complaints or just don’t care if you can still get profits.

It’s no wonder why more and more negative feedback is flooding your forums, justified or not, regarding issues that relate to overall game-play.

The only conclusion based on the polls is that we, as players, need to support your ideas and try to focus on other content or just quit the game.

Personally, half of my runs there have had the same result, between 3-4% between 3-4% HP in last phase with runes, proper flasks, enchants, food buffs and decent gear with appropriate stats but without sockets, leading to an outcome which is more than unsettling.

The thing I can’t stand, I’ll say it again, is your ignorant attitude, I find it most disturbing!

Since vanilla, this is my first and only intervention on the forums, but this is one of the many cases where your ideas are against the players, especially those who have supported you, in most circumstances, since the beginning!

My post will either be removed or left unheard and unresolved, like the ones before.

Unfortunately, we cannot turn back time, no matter how much we would like to!

I would also like to apologize only to the players who will not agree with this post and to the Blizzard employees who simply can’t do anything even if they want to and are constraint by the poor leadership of the company!

What the hell?

So because you’re not good enough you’re berating Blizz for not nerfing it (your feedback ) and accusing them of padding playtime metrics?

Newsflash, the world doesn’t revolve around you. If you aren’t good enough, then get better. If you can’t then walk away from the challenge, or see it as an aspiration to one day work to.

Good on Blizz standing firm. I’m tired of them caving to entitled whiners.

You’d have something to argue if there weren’t a million others who have completed the mage tower for guardian druid. This post is so unwarranted, sure it may be harder than it used to be but it’s still doable. If you want the rewards, finish the challenge.

Do you always have to crush threads and be mean? What do you gain from it?

I stand by what I said. Do you actually have an opinion on the topic at hand?

I do agree at some point with OP. They should listen to feedback and optimize things after more data is collected. Example; flask, food and stuff like that should not expire after each try.

But you are just mean without any particular reason. You should take a good long look before you accuse OP for things!

If you have trouble reading the message to the end, you will see that it is not just me, not about the blizzard employees, but about the management of the company, the constant changes and adjustments that are not done properly for the new content compared to the old one.
Again, it’s about the inability to be open minded and to change, adjust some things based on the discussions already posted by other players before me.
Not everyone has time to collect BiS for all characters with all necessary sockets or maybe play hybrid.
I also apologized from the beginning on how the message may be interpreted.
If you managed to complete the challenge in Shadowlands, well done, you are among the 1% but you cannot say that you are perfect in everything you do and that you have never had a problem, complaint, at a given moment with a content or an implemented mechanic and that you are always happy in your own world.
If you are, you are very fortunate, congratulations for being the perfect example!

I am “good enough”. Yes they should nerf it, it’s unreasonable DPS check rather than mechanical check.

And DPS check isn’t only about “pressing correct abilities” but also about perfecting your gear through obscure scaling systems where random green items might be better than current expansion’s BiS and it’s not clear because of the weird scaling stuff behind with no real in-game predictor of the power. Other than sockets, which predict better item and are also idiotic mechanic since you prefer way lower and worse item, if it has sockets, just because sockets avoid normalization.

Whose feedback? Mine is completely the opposite of yours. Except for the food bit…

There has been so many threads about MT since it was implemented in December. Most of them were negative due to being much harder then the community expected.

You can’t deny that there is more negative feedback then positive when it comes to MT!

What are you talking about? Opposite of my feedback? I did not give anymore feedback then consumable shouldn’t reset.

You can say he crushes threads and is incredibly harsh, he is usually right and I actually stand by him aswell.

I’m sorry to say, but if you spent 700 attempts without killing him, that’s actually sad on your behalf and you should without a doubt reconsider certain things in wow. It’s difficult, but far from impossible, and far from requiring 700 attempts for it.

But you don’t have to say thing like you are a jerk all the time.
Why don’t replay with something nice and have a conversation instead?

Because writing something nice is usually fake, and it sugarcoats the real issue. He wasn’t insulting him, he was just saying the truth. Fact is, that if he spent 700 attempts and he hasn’t done it, something must be very wrong. I’ve seen countless bears running around in that skin, and even I managed it within 30-40 attempts, and druid is like my 5th or 6th alt this expansion.

Only easier thing back then was u could outgear it . If u did it on release patch it was harder.

Also, MT now is nerfed and scaling is broken, just take one pot and two trinkets and that will be loke half of your dmg …

They seem to have made it harder since it became permanent. People in December got OP gear which made it easier and in some cases, very easy.

It isn’t really a skill test, it’s a gear test. It was pretty easy to get OP back in December, I had SoO gear and +3 PvP gems and I did it.

I agree that it’s badly done.

How is it a gear test when i did it with sl gear and bfa trinket.

And if it is a gear test, so was it back in legion where u could just wait and get tomb/antorus gear and outgear it all.

Also, u can have all the gear u want if u lack skill (practice?) u wont do it . Just like OP with his 700 pulls…

Did you do it in December?

I did it like 2 weeks ago .

I’ve been trying it and the first guy seems easier in SL gear (Necro versa set) than in December but Kruul seems harder overall. He felt way easier in December.

Havent played in december, but its realy isnt about stats or what set you use
