Mage tower is extremely overtuned

1 shots are fine but I’m taking so much damage from basic attacks it’s just not even going to translate to a win no matter how savvy and skilled I could be.

There’s things happening that I just cannot avoid as they’re designed to be constant ticks of unavoidable damage but it all hits way too hard. I’m ilvl 606 atm stacking haste and versatility. The damage I do is absolutely abysmal too.

Can you retune these fights please to scale properly, when I did these during legion I was not dying in the first 15 seconds like this even on my first tries.

Which one are you trying to do?

The one in the halls of valor as a demonology warlock

The main thing that hits really hard there in the 1st minute of the fight is flying axes. They have a bit hard trajectory to dodge, but they are avoidable. Other incoming unavoidable damage is fine and compensated by healing spheres and internal class healing.

I was then I learned the mechanics. I’m guessing it’s either the bubble on caster dude or the runes on the floor

You shouldn’t be using War Within gear for the Mage Tower. You need twink gear with a lot of gem sockets with Cataclysm epic +8 primary stat gems, plus a lot of old enchants. That will make it much easier, although it was a while ago I last did it, it might have been changed since then.

They changed this and the tuning got way more lenient. Besides tier set bonusses from WW work. He should be using BfA runes/flasks/food though.

I believe the Yarl enrages for a small period of time 20 sec after the fight starts so you have to kite him. He gets big and red and walks towards you. If his hits land he’ll 2-shot you, especially as a clothie.

You can farm a few OP trinkets for the mage tower. There’s a trinket that you can farm from Emerald Nightmare that does so much damage and will help you a lot, especially at the start when the 3 bosses are stacked.

I kind of like that Mage tower is still difficult even at max level. I don’t like that I still haven’t completed it lol. When I decide to go back to check it out, then I’ll read up on what the best approach to take is.

My goal is to get my Druid ready for when Legion timewalking comes around so I can get the bear form. I don’t play my Druid at all but want that form for lolz.

Yeah I like solo challenges in wow, especially when they reward cool cosmetics to show off.
I personally got the book after a month when they re-introduced the mage tower in Shadowlands, still proud of that
