Mage Tower reward not unlocked – missing artifact before completion *SAD MOMENT*

Hi everyone,

I recently completed the Mage Tower challenge as an Unholy Death Knight on my character [Appredoom-Outland], but I never received the “Challenging” artifact appearance for Apocalypse.

I later realized that I had never acquired the Apocalypse artifact weapon on this character during Legion. After finishing the challenge, I went back, completed the Class Hall questline, and obtained Apocalypse – but the skin still does not show up in my transmog appearances.

I understand that Mage Tower skins are tied to the artifact, but this detail is not communicated clearly in-game anymore, especially for returning players. The challenge was completed fair and square, in Unholy spec, and I’d really appreciate if this could be corrected manually.

Has anyone experienced this before and got it fixed through support? Any help or dev reply would be really appreciated.

This could only be unlocked in Legion.

I just killed her again right now, thinking maybe it would finally trigger the unlock…

So yeah… completely pointless.
I honestly assumed that when Blizzard brought back the Mage Tower, it was to let players unlock the weapon skins again – at least if they completed the challenge properly.
I’ve literally wasted my entire day on this – and I still don’t have the Apocalypse skin.
It feels really unfair, considering I actually completed the challenge. Twice. :disappointed:
