Mage Tower statistics

Hey all! o/

What do you think is blizz going to post statistics after timewalking event ends where we could see how many ppl completed certain challenge and to see who completed it (normal raiders / heroic raiders / mythic raiders or lower/higher m+ players with percentages from each)?

They’ve never posted any such thing before, why would they now?

I mean, I know why you want them to, but from their perspective, why would they? :smile_cat:

i was just curious, would be interesting to get that info from somewhere after so many topics where people argued about how something is difficult while others said it was ok like that etc…

I agree, I’d love to know.

But there’s no reason to imagine those stats will be made available to us. Blizz don’t publish that kind of thing. We have to guess at subscriber numbers, let alone the % of players who engage in/complete a given activity within the game.

Closest thing will be the statistic on wowhead. When i checked the other day a whooping 1% of profiles had the achievment for doing one mage tower challenge. I know thats not accurate cause it only counts ppl that has profiles on wowhead i think? But it still gives a picture.

I mean… do we think wowhead people are the casuals who don’t research the game much?

So basically, way way less than 1% of players have it, since you have to be pretty dedicated to have a wowhead account.

This is speculation but for what I’ve seen I’d say maybe around 3-5% of playerbase has completed 1 Mage Tower challenge.

Definitely still overtuned.

Everything Blizzard posts goes through dozens of lawyers. They’ve stopped posting anything that isnt super positive. This isnt going to happen bro.

They do occasionally release infographics, not hugely detailed ofc. This was one from back in the day when it was current content:-

I did see one post yesterday on reddit (that I can’t find atm) about a guy who took around 600 attempts to get his Fel Bear skin.

How to people know? Do they manually count or is there a weak aura or something that tracks goes (does dbm do it? )

Yep you can see it in dbm settings.

I’ll have to try and look, it usually shows for me on raidbosses and so on, but it doesnt for the mage tower. I just know i have 12+ hours in there so far

Did you install the Challenges addon for dbm? It’s a seperate addon

Unless you’re fully geared in old gear with enchants, gems and fully buffed you’re probably not gonna get it. I highly doubt Blizz will post the results of the MT so far. The only challenge that is easily doable is the Fury warrior one. The investment needed per char for the average player will be about 160/200k per char(based on what everything costs on my server).

Yes i have it, i get the dbm warnings during the challenge, but it doesnt count the tries for me.

You can find it on curseforge (or your choice of addon manager)

https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/dbm-challenges

Nvm I see you have it, have some popcorn instead

No.

They’re just going to pretend ‘it was a success’.

Thanks, but i have it. Still doesnt count my tries.
