Right now there is allot of debate on the mage tower and the difficulty that comes with it. Personally i find some easier then in Legion while others allot more difficult then back in Legion. Guardian druid for example feels allot more difficult then before, while Fury feels allot easier then the Legion version. However this varies per person but i believe the majority so far feels that the mage tower requires more tuning so that it is doable by a majority in Shadowlands gear and not having to chase old items and spend a fortune in gold on food, flask and enchants.
On the the otherside there are players that want it to be extremely difficult cause they missed that kind of challenge in WoW.
I’ve been thinking and perhaps there is a need for two version of the mage tower.
One that is a challenge but doable for the majority which can reward the mog set. While a hard mode version can be for those that are looking for a “dark souls” type challlenge which could possibly reward the old weapon skins from Legion as a reward.
I think it is important that Blizzard come forth and properly explain, who in their minds, the magetower is tuned for. Because let me tell you one thing right now: if it is meant to be challenging content, it shouldn’t be tuned around the majority, because the majority of the playerbase are ill-prepared for difficult content.
If on the other hand it is meant for casuals, they should make changes. I think it’s still unclear from the first PTR impressions and the live game which way they want to go, but since they haven’t nerfed the thing to the ground yet I’m assuming they’re sticking with the difficult version, and that was their intention. And in that case, I’ll say that it was poor communication on their part before the event.
I say getting the mogs with putting an hour of work into every challenge is already a lot of work. But putting several hours of searching for old gear / consumables and around 6 hours of wiping on the same challenge is too much. I’ve done it once, I’m not going to do it another 6 times for the mount. Not worth the effort.
7 hours of work in total for mogs + mount is all right, 7 hours of work for a single challenge plus spending 60k of gold in the process isn’t. That’s not “work” anymore, that’s insanity.
Everything should be purchasable with real money, IMO. You do some effort to get money in RL (or your mom did). Let us buy every mog set and rare mounts with money, pls!
Its better go pay to get mounts directly to Activision rather than paying to boosters. More money for Acti
I dissagree here that it insane, but that is both you and me personal oppinion. I have a littlebrother who cryes after he wiped after 10 attempts, he is a spoiled and have no patience. I really dont like these types, so I guess I dont like my little brother atm
I did guardian in Legion with mythic Antorus gear and it was a joke. As was all challenges I did when I was overgeared. If I would’ve done those with Nighthold gear like when it was introduced, I could imagine some challenges were maybe harder back then. But I can only speculate.
Didn’t find current mage tower too hard. Some took time, like the guardian one, but didn’t feel desperate at any point. Also did it over a week ago before any nerfs, so I’d imagine it’s a bit easier now.
Even the healer challenge with hpala, I had never healed before in WoW, took a while to get comfortable with it, but got it done eventually. Was fun!
the eyes on the tank one seem to spawn to fast and the knock back seem a tad to much i bet if it get to hard it open the market for ppl to do it for them lol not that i wd do it
