Why is it so hard? Is this content only for the highest players in the game or something? I mean I get it the casual players have been neglected for years at this point so I guess I was a fool to think mage towers were something I could play at…
Well whatever anyway it would maybe not be so bad if i had longer to practice but 2 weeks? I have work and a life.
Clearly this content was designed for the elite only!
Because they didn’t replicate the mage tower from Legion. They instead brought us something else, something that was tested briefly on the PTR and then they buffed it between PTR and now.
Probs could get good if i had longer than 2 weeks… I don’t have much time to play these days so by the time i “get good” the tower event will be over. Disgusting.
did agatha with some trial and error, couldnt do sigryn cause of them getting a 500% damage increase enrage depending on what hp threshholds were met at that time. (gave up with sigryn) doing fel totem now.
Yep, it’s now exclusively for the people that either:
play wow as a job (streamers) and have time to spam it 24/7
really really good players
For the average people like most of us this isn’t doable. I don’t have time to spam it hours upon hours daily for two weeks just to get a mog.
This game is becoming more and more for the top-end wanna be esports people, pushing 30+ keys and watchting the MDI like grandma goes to church on Sunday. World first races and drama surrounding it, and raids actually tuned for stuff like this. Makes me wonder what the OG devs would think of this.
Lets say they kept it at its current difficulty but allowed people more time to play it. I am not saying it should be easy and it should be a challenge but it shouldn’t be a challenge that casual players are excluded from.
At this point I am going to have to spend 2 weeks practicing with as much time as i can and then by the time its the legion tower time again I will have forgotten so will have to practice again.
I often think the casual players are overlooked and this is just another nail in the coffin, I think its time i took the hint.
You want to get it just cos you honour us with your presence? You cant have all if you have 23 minutes game time per week, 9 kids, 1 hand or whatever excuse u got.
People are rewarded for skill and time.
Isn’t challenging solo content a good thing? We’ve been missing this for a long time. Perhaps the last challenging solo content was the Proving Grounds - Wave 30 achievements from MOP.
I don’t call it challenging solo content when I’m being expected to have to trade a defensive cd between every fear and pray I don’t get high rolled damage and die
It’s too hard, period. people who have it are the 1% players, and are now screaming that they should leave it as it is to gloat. The one thing they don’t realize is that this game is becoming more and more like that and is driving away players who play mainly for mount- collecting, transmog and some medium PvE content.
These are the types of people who scoff at everyone not tryharding mythic raids every night of the week, and it’s the reason I left my once- relaxed guild for becoming like that. I’m 100% serious, on discord you had to do multiple interviews to even be considered for a spot in their all-star team. Happy to say now this guild is as good as dead after having to rebuild their raid team multiple times every tier.
The problem is that they re-used old challenges that were built around versions of specs that have changed since then and also had access to a legendary and artifact weapon spell.
Now we have no legendary, no covenant ability and some specs are straight-up bad without borrowed power.
That plus the fact that it was testable on the PTR for like a single day or something and most people tested the way too easy version and said it was too easy to they overtuned the hell out of it to create some artificial challenge.
I like a challenge but the healer one has nothing to do with healing it’s a bunch of random CC, dodging one shotting situations and DPS checks.
My ability to heal isn’t tested, my ability to time my cooldowns and CCs like a robot is tested. My patience to gather obscure trinket and consumables is tested.
I want challenge, I don’t want some arbitrary BS where I have two mobs that fixate on me, run faster than me and deals 1/5th of my health with a single hit. This is not healing, this is BS.
