We have lost lots of kiting capabilities and CC. We are now a support Class. This needs to be addressed. Arcane does well but Fire and Frost needs help. Shimmer is bad for the game. If melee stick on us all the time we need more burst.

which is a lot.

Your problem of understanding is “as before pre-patch”. Have you any idea how Mages played through Wrath until WoD pre-patch? You dont. You are clueless too. Shadowlands unprunes some stuff yes. But we get nothing.

You are rigt, the people who think that they do not need cc, are people who are 18 to 22 years old, if the magician was characterized by something at the time it is because of the cc he had, along with the rogue and hunter, today a priest has more cc than a magician UN PRIEST, they consider mage support (?, I ask you played dota to consider support for a class that is one of the most OP in the game, I’m just going to say this name AEGWYNN, and it was mage;) greetings
Mages need a few strong nerfs all over their toolkit/damage/cc to become equal with the rest.
Same thing goes for rogs and then this game will be better for all the other classes except them.

He is not trolling, he is right, the mage needs cc the mage long ago had a ring, deep, sheep, stuns with fire blast, breath, silence, today not even 50% of that has. the frost, by people like you, they nerfed it hard in terms of survival, they even took the 30% healing that we had every 5 min, and now a temporary shield. Okay . dps does not compensate for survivability.

He is absolutely not right and neither are you, which can be explained with the lack of experience you have in the game.
Mages always dominated in both pvp and pve ever since this game existed. It’s ridiculous to think that they need to be given ever more tools when they are already on top of m+ ladder, pvp ladder and raid logs. If you can’t achieve these things, that’s on you, not the class, proven by plenty of other players.
Dripping with racism 
This is not about what is broken or what is not. Mage gameplay is complete dog when you compare it to MoP, Cata or Wrath. You can say same thing about 80% other Classes aswell right now.

But back to Pyredevil…
From my understanding Mage is always in or near the meta with at least one spec.
Just to point it out, the guy who made this post (Pyredevil) isn’t sharing his own opinion regarding Mages performance. In another Mage thread he replied with A LOT of YouTube videos of other Mage players discussing “the current Mage situation”.
My guess is he watched those YouTube videos of Mage players complaining and now he just takes their word for it, and decided to start a crusade through this thread.
As others have pointed out…
Which only makes it more of a possibility that he is sharing feedback on Mage that isn’t his own. It’s from those videos he has been watching.
And replying with:
Every time someone argues against his point, just shows that he doesn’t have the knowledge/experience on Mage to defend or back up has opinion when others argue against his points.
Because it isn’t his feedback to begin with 
Laying it all out like this… I’m more and more convinced that Pyredevil isn’t trolling… he just doesn’t have a clue about the opinions he is listing out in this thread, because it’s feedback he is blindly passing on from YouTube videos
Now I just wanna say, that I don’t know if Mage actually has horrible issues atm. They might have, they might not have. All I know is that Pyredevil isn’t a credible source for that information

Tell me what I dont know? I played Mages trough Wrath until WoD Prepatch. Then I quit because they were ruined. They are still ruined. You play Mage and you are 100% happy the way they play? Are you a raid turd?
You clearly don’t understand much of anything if you think mages need more CC or more damage, since mages are already good at both of those things.

I don’t think anyone is 100% happy about how anything plays, but considering how the core design of the game looks like at the moment, I think mages play pretty well.
Yes, I mostly play pve because it’s the one thing that WoW actually does very well.
I’ve done some pvp to pick up a free glad mount whenever I’ve been active during BFA though since mages are really strong and 2400 isn’t that high.
