That’s nice, but I wish there was an option (maybe a glyph) to have polymorph cast one of the known variants randomly. I’m tired of making and updating macros for it (and maybe one day I’ll have enough variants that the character limit in a macro won’t be enough).
i wish that too, tho still being able to polymorph ppl into ducks is perfection for me
I have a screenshot you’ll love too. I’ll share it to you later in the food thread though as it’s off topic here but is duck related my little Pepe friend
ho, ho ho. Can’t wait!
This is why I love being a Mage.
That’s quackers.
At this point, what is the difference between Mage’s Polymorph and Shaman’s Hex? My Shaman would like some love too.
yes pls. Duck hex too!
Duck polymorph will be OP in PvP as everyone will let it be cast just to see the duck.
lol true…
A Vulpera Mage using Polymorph Duck on a player might be the most hilarious thing ever.
I’m so going to have fun with this
After doing it, I’m gonna say “then he waddled away. Waddle waddle”
Hex doesn’t heal the target, is a curse and not a magic debuff, doesn’t work on critters and has a cooldown.
Ok, but now seriously it has quite a few variants of its own, and we don’t know if they’ll get something in DF or not (could be in a later patch, like how Living Honey was added in 8.2.5). Hex tends to be more “vile” creatures like spiders, roaches, skeletons and so on, so might not have something in theme yet.
For many years we had no ducks…and now…ducks all over the place!
That is right, but from a class lore perspective polymorph/hex is where the Shaman’s elemental world meets Mage’s mastery of the magic. Hex is a crude polymorph to be used against enemies, while Mage’s polymorph is far more refined and flexible.
Despite polymorph healing the target, I can’t imagine why mages lorewise would want to heal their polymorphed enemies or why they wouldn’t be able to cast a non-healing polymorph.
I’m gonna be spending a lot of Dragonflight in a consensual polymorphed state
Time to 1day polymorph every critter in SW and Org.
Especially the flying ones!
Waddle waddle all over the place
Nice! Time to play again my mage
LET’S GOOOO
Shame they look absolutely nothing like ducks
