Mail-wearers have had the short end of the stick; there are a only a couple of nice-ish sets compared to some other classes. I don’t play my hunter or shaman often but I’d like to see them get some more nice looking mogs.
A small aside, but why do hunters wear mail in the first place, it always struck me as a leather wearing class.

Mail sets so bad that the new class/race that uses them actually goes out of its way to use as little as possible when in combat.

The sad part of this story is that most decent mail sets come from shadowlands, now talk about bad luck.
I like the Aberrus hunter set, tbh.
The aberrus set is decent however personally I’ve never been a fan of asymmetrical sets not to mention that there are way too many horns or spikes on that thing, like why do we need so many of them there?
Have you ever been to Orgrimmar? Never too many spikes!
It does look like leather though, not mail.
Especially Hunter ones. Sham ones have some decent looking Tmogs (T6 n such). Hunters however, last season Tmog was the best they’ve ever had.

Agree that you can make good transmogs as mail user but it requires much more work then other armor sets. Sometimes I have really hard time to make a decent, thematical transmogs for my resto shaman comparing to mage where almost every cloth piece looks good. Hope they will put a bit more effort in the mail armors now when we have new race/class.

Everything about the way those clan sets were handled was mind-baffling. The Frostwolf (y’know, the hunter and shaman clan) ensemble from the Vol’jin reputation faction in Tanaan is also leather-only. Oh, and it has no characteristic wolf headpiece either, because that would take away from daddy Durotan’s cool factor too much.
Actually, they gave an even worse reason for not adding it - it was designed to fit on Orcs only, and no other race. And yes, that is the actual legit reason.

Mail sets are indeed worse.
Not changed this set since i did it months ago, because everything else is so bad

Mail probably is the worst armor type to transmog…but that just adds to the challenge of trying to come up with something halfway decent!

Yeah, My rogue and Paladin change mogs quite often, my DK does a bit too. But this shammy has been wearing this red and gold Naxx set since MOP (it does smell a bit now but Draenei don’t mind that). Was tough to get it back then as there wasn’t a legacy buff at the time, so I needed help with Patchwerk.
