I’ve been thinking about starting a new shaman main and would like to play a horde race. The only thing holding me back is that I’m a big fan of wpvp while waiting for queues and whatnot.
So, what is the War Mode faction balance like, from a horde perspective? Will I be able to find alliance players to fight or will days go by without me finding a single enemy player?
you will find hordes of alliance players Wednesday, some Thursday and then random stragglers rest of the week after the alliance got there totally unfair quest done that gives conquest and anima, after that they are retreating to wm-off for the rest of the week and gain the quest one more time next week.
Yeah they really need to give the weekly kill quest to Horde aswell.
I love WPvP too, I swaped to alliance during BFA (since I get no enjoyement out from 10v1). Now in SL all I see is raids of Alliance farming single horde players - I havent even completed the 20 kill for second week, as I havent found a single fight that was somewhat even.
I hope Horde also get the quest, and those alliance raiding zergs will be the first to turn WM off. I rather have it the way it was in BFA than this (sure it was rough but it was a challenge). When you did stumble across another Alliance in BFA - you knew he was a tough cookie 
Trust me, you’ll have no issues at all finding alliance in open world with WM on - you’ll have a blast if you like that kind of thing. Try it.
i really hope it stays like this and maybe blizzard will open their eye’s about the bonus problem etc. im on kazzak, who was originally a massive horde pvp server. now barely horde’s in warmode. because alliance is running around in groups of 20+ ganking every single one. alliance everywere… and the 10% ? pffft not even worth the trouble. why would i wanna spend 4 hours doing world quest with warmode. if i can do it in 2 hours without warmode. as stated. totally not worth turning warmode on
Yeah I have noticed that too, I hardly see any Horde at all anymore. And if I do theres 4-5 alliance chasing them. Its like the only shards that do have horde in them are stormscale ones.
I´m not sure how the bonus is calculated, or how the shards are balanced but something seems really strange. Did an insane amount of people reroll Alliance in SL / or did an insane amount of people turn WM on. In Bfa you were lucky if you found another alliance player on the same shard as you.
I´ll admit that Kazzak does have a bad rep from BFA, I do remember the kazzak horde raids that roamed - I think alot of alliance players have them on KOS.
Ally bonus is 15% this week so ally didn’t get the wpvp quest this week yet horde still blame the quest on being ganked. You’re being ganked for the sake of being ganked I’ve still seen ally farming horde in the maw this week even without the quest
Ye the maw entrance is a nice place to hang out in between bgs, so don’t need quest for that.
Yeah that’s what I was doing the other night whilst doing bgs. They was a horde group at the entrance trying to farm ally but they kept getting killed then coming back when ally had gone then they’d get killed again until after 1 bg I went back and they’d gone but they was still ally killing horde near the entrance and down by where borr geth is. That’s without a wpvp quest aswell but horde will still blame the quest
Sometimes when leave bg I notice the shard changes. Unfortunate when there was a good camping going.
