Major Framerate issues this week

Hi all,

I’ve been having frame rate issues and was wondering if anyone had any advice.

I had the same since almost a year ago when the emerald dream launched and a fresh install did the trick.

The issue seems to have started the day after I had a windows update - KB5039212. I uninstalled that yesterday and then tried wow again but no luck.

Drivers are all up to date (NVidia through GeForce experience and through windows update manager).

Reinstalled wow retail but nothing.

Anyone had similar issues?

P.s. Addons all up to date and hardly used anyway. (just DBM and details for raiding once in a blue moon.)

Can you specify the fps problems?

Also list your hardware plz.
Checking temps of the CPU and GPU might give more clarity too.

Not just you, I’m also having frame rate issues after the recent Windows update. Also reinstalled both Battlenet and WoW to no luck. Can’t figure out a fix either. Temps are all fine.

Whenever I move or try do anything, the fps drops and then catches up a second or so later.

Same here. Thought it was due to drivers but alas, seems to be windows update or some issue in wow. I keep getting that message that “There is a known GPU problem…” Diablo 4 however runs pretty well.

I’m using a Predator Helios 300 i5 8GB 256+1TB GTX1660Ti Laptop if that helps.

That hardware is just wayyyyyy to old. WoW may run Fine with that in dungeons or in the open world, but in Hubs and intense Combat situations this just wont do.

I have a fairly medium range PC with a R5 5600x and a 3060 12GB, 32 GB Ram 3200 hz. While that is a ton above the recommended Specs needed according to Blizzard, I sometimes Drop into the Low 20 FPS when in large Fights.

WoW is just very badly optimized right now and the recommended Specs should be updated.
