Major security problem

My problem is the following: I made a battlenet account, started playing wow. The next step was of course to set up security with phone and authenticator - and this is where the problems started.
My phone number is “already in use” so I can’t add it to my account. I did have an account years ago with that number on it but I have since lost access to it, I don’t even have the email address I used back then so I can’t remove the link myself.
I made a ticket of course, and received a reply that I should contact Blizzard via Live Chat. That is the only option they say.
Now, the problem is that Live Chat is constantly offline. Their timetables state clearly it should be available 1:00 PM - 11:00 PM GMT but it never is. I have disabled all possible addons that might interfere with the support page and even installed Firefox just to be sure that it was not Chrome or Edge that caused problems.
Is there actually any other option than to just uninstall the game and start playing something else?

You can also make a ticket and include your number and your ID. So long as the old account has your real name on and matches your ID, Support can remove your old phone number from the old account
We suggest live chat as we can instead send a verification code while talking to you but if you aren’t seeing live chat open, that’s another option

That’s another problem as my real name has changed since I had that account.

Then you can add the document that verifies that when you submit a ticket, like a marriage certificate or whatever.

Did that. Let’s see if that helps.

Edit: This issue has now been solved, thank you Olbynx and Chronormi.
