Make Aimed Shot an EMPOWERED spell

This would make every Aimed Shot feel meaningful and skillful, giving the player control over power and timing

Rank 1: Fires quickly, but does less damage.

Rank 2: Slower cast, more damage.

Rank 3: Guaranteed 100% crit, but with a much slower shot.

Also, please update the animation so it looks like a real, impactful arrow being released something that feels deadly, not like we’re shooting a toothpick.

All cast skills should be empowered. It’s just a more modern and interesting design

You have to ask yourself why would you ever cast anything but one level. What you wrote works from PvP perspective maybe, but PvE you would only ever cast whichever level does the most damage per cast time unless you got caught unprepared for the cast time.

For empower spell to work, you need to have a reason to cast different level in different situations. Think Eternity Surge adding more targets, or Fire Breath changing proportion of direct damage to DoT between different levels while keeping the same damage. Or the PTR version of Breath of Sindragosa from the fDK rework that had different CD/durations that you would choose between based on lifespan of your enemies.

Incidentally, this is also an issue with the blood DK Consume rework on alpha, it’s just more damage and DR the longer you cast so you have little reason to use lvl 1 and 2.
