The final boss of he expansion, N’zoth has proved that people refuse to use outside sources to get a grip on bossfights. And honestly why should they when there is a perfect source of information in the game, the dungeon journal?
Have it include videos for each skill and stuff. Short ones for each ability, dedicated to tanks, healers and dps each.
Some people will always understand better doing the fight. I don’t think vids per se are the answer unless they are very to the point and short. Like line of sight gaming used to make. I don’t think they are around any more.
Like for sanity on N’zoth: Sanity is an additional resource on this fight. Different abilities will lower your sanity. Once it reaches 0 you will be mind controlled. Use the heart of Azeroth to restore your sanity. 30 seconds tops.
If you are referring to LFR, I don’t think making the journal more detailed will help with anything. It doesn’t matter how detailed a thing is if no one reads it. Besides, the current raid entries are perfectly servicable, I don’t think there’s much you can add before it starts to spell out exactly what to do step by step and that’s not the point of the tool.
That being said, I would really like if you could look up the abilitiea for dungeon trash in-game. With M+ being a thing, some of the trash can wipe you pretty easy on particular weeks with some exotic abilities.
Well yeah but at the moment you can’t tell your raid to look stuff up, it would take like 20 minutes after a 50 minutes queue. If there would be a 1 minute video inside the game itself, you could just get invited and tell everyone to watch that 1 minute video that tells you how not to get MC-ed.
