Make Combustion Great Again... in PvP

The PvP modifier on Unleashed Inferno from 60% to 18% needs to be buffed.

Do you really want to be a threat in pvp? :)) Now Combustion is a simple skill that restores the stacks of phoenix and fireblast :slight_smile:

Fire is fine with dps but these Hero talents need total rework. Also Fire lacks defensives. Barrier healing is a joke. They give so little HP back its just terrible. With damage, control and movement I have no problem.

Your have wrong Fire Talents and you don’t stack mastery on your gear.

I’m trying something new in BG. I love Sunfury much more than Frostfire, but it’s way harder.

Frostfire gets free 6% haste and 12% mastery, not to mention enhanced Fire Blast and Phoenix Flames as soon as you throw one instant Frostfire Bolt in Combustion, while Sunfury needs to work for that 0.5% haste stacks which are inconsistent. Not to mention Frostfire Bolt hits waaaaaay harder than Fireball.

I’m trying to play with Living Bomb atm and Scorch crit threshold to 35% since we can’t get 5 spellfire spheres consistantly anyway, this is for BG only. I rarely play arena, it’s not fun for me.

How do you synergise and play Living Bomb build with Sunfury? Im confused.

Even as a PvE player I´m seriously interested in hearing this… I soo want to find a situation outside m+ masspulls in low leys where lit fuse makes any sort of sense to spec into… Is this for farming honor in packs via masstagging, or what´s the gameplan here?

i very much dislike when someone has the bare minimum levle of success and goes on forum “yeah fire is fine” u either have never played fire before this expansion, or something is seriously off with you, because the dmg is clearly CLEARLY lacking, by a very long shot
i know how mastery work, i know how it goes with ignite, and there is a reason haste versa are the pvp stats, and even if you could have enough mastery to be decently strong, ud definetly lack the defensive stats between glass cannon and no versa dmg reduction.

then again if u are talking about pve
none of this applies.

what are the odds, profile is hidden, if i ever get the chance to work at blizz, ill force a more healthy forum, post with 1 character, only your main, and no hidden profiles can post, u want hidden prof? don’t post. cya.

It’s just random experimental thing, it works quite well in clusters of players especially the first mid flag fight on EotS or Lumbermill / Market collapse on AB/DG. Everything explodes, it doesn’t kill the entire squad but it chunks AoE nicely.

Also want to mention that it’s not much of a difference in builds for Sunfury, since Hyperthermia is unreliable and Fire’s Ire is much more valuable than Fevered Incantation for 2 talents. Scorch is what’s truly scary when it comes to damage, so the 35% threshold helps.

I’m not making this post because of this build, it’s generally known that fire does poor damage compared to other classes/specs (PvP mostly, PvE is coin flip each patch). This is why I want Combustion to feel like an actual threat, a truck that hits a player, and not just have 18% extra burst damage while I get hit for 2M easy and my Pyros hit for 400-500k DURING combustion (correct me if I’m wrong, not sure on the actual precise numbers).

Not sure how you stack mastery on Fire and get success without haste… it’s weird. You get less casts in Combustion and Ignite is easily dispellable/mitigated. I wish our mastery was reworked and Ignite was just 5-7% baseline passive. I know Ignite can hit like a truck, especially in Frostfire due to extra free 12% stat (this is the main reason), it was always my top 1-2 damage in BG. If Sunfury had this, it would’ve been more played in PvP (which is why I’m salty sometimes when I can’t be even on par with what we can achieve with Frostfire)

I don’t play arenas except with friends, but we’re currently playing specs which are not good comp at all :sweat_smile:

As for PvE, haste/mastery is the way to go, no contest.
