I know that this was not in classic back then, and introduced in a later expansion. But make int also give spellpower to certain classes. I leveled every class to 25, except for rogue and I felt the huge difference in that the melee classes and hunters that relied on attackpower felt stronger each time they got any kind of gear upgrade, but the casters didn’t.
In warcraft 3 this worked because int hero’s were strong early game cause their spells were just strong, but could not keep up lategame. With str/agi hero’s it was the other way around, without gear and early on they were pretty weak, but as the game progressed, endgame they dominated.
Since wow is a game that also has endgame progression, it would feel better if int was more then just a lil more mana.

thats a fundamental change that isnt going to happen. they arent chaning classic, they are just adding to the experience
I think it would be fine with the approach they already did, adding more craftable gear with sp on it and also maybe add extra quests, such as rune/classquests with some sp on it so casters don’t inherently lag behind melee dps all the time.

Give us a rune that accounts all of int into spell power
They gave shamans the permanent ability to dual wield by learning the ability in a quest. So making other changes to the core of classes shoulnd’t really be a problem. A rune quest to get the ability to get 50% of Intellect as Spell Power shouldn’t be impossible.
Now wether that is a good solution or not is up for debate (I’m leaning towards yes).
They also did something similar to hunter pets. They scale as well now. So it is not like its asking for something weird.
I’d love for this to happen, though it never will.
Having the downside of being able to go oom. (well early on, not so much with current kill times) while not even beating physical damage dealers in the process of dumping all your mana is kinda weird.
They could continue the route of giving out bandaid sp gear that isn’t comparable to any other item in that level bracket from classic, this will however always feel bad since there’ll just not be that much you’re gonna replace as a caster from bfd while leveling in p2.
