Make it FAIR for alliance!

If Illidan was a gnome he would be called Lil’dan.

How would unlucking horde allied races from aliance toon increase number of people playing aliance seriously? If anything, if they could unlock them from aliance they will be just much more likely to swap to horde because there isnt any reprelated allied race holding them back…

Are you serious? I wasted so much time unlocking those. Bloody hell.

Plays alliance… wants horde allied race…

Makes sense that to unlock a HORDE allied race you have to do so on a HORDE toon. I dont see the issue. Its like me complaining i cant make a Kul Tiran even though i have zero alliance chars.

I couldn’t unlock Kul Tirans as Horde, I’m not sure I see your point.

Whilst it’s not the end of the world, it would be nice for an alliance allied race to be easier to unlock than the horde equivalent for once.

Legion races, horde = quest in progression zones and then finish rep with those, alliance = quest in endgame zones and then spend quite a while WQing rep because the storyline grants little rep comparatively. Now, not such an issue. At the time? Yeah, bit of a difference.

Mag’har versus DID
Unlock = same
Quest to actually get the race, mag’har = fly about in the old world kill some mobs. DID = a bit of that, plus you need to finish a dungeon run.

Kul Tiran vs Zandalari.
Zandalari = get the rep and then do the zandalari forever achi which is basically complete all zones and do a little scenario.
KT = get the rep and do kul tiras united which requires you to do a series of dungeons and then do a scenario.

Mechagnome vs Vulpera
Vulpera = quest in progression zone and then get rep with zone.
Mechagnome = quest in endgame zone, grind rep in said zone and then complete a dungeon run.

As said, not the end of the world but it has consistently been the case that the horde unlock requirements are always ever so slightly quicker and easier. Alliance is always being sent to dungeons to finish up, horde never get sent to one as far as I am aware? Not even the NB achi requires you to set foot inside a dungeon.

its funny because it was you who brought attention to this months ago, you cant on kultiras but you can on mechagnomes, all you need in the end is embassy quest and max level alliance. But most of your work is done by your horde becausethey give acess to their reputation and the questline. alliance dont have it on vulpira.

It’s Tuesday mate. Buy a calendar and come back in 3 days.

Mechagon is a neutral faction, the Voldunai are not. The Alliance are not kind to the Vulpera, the Horde does help out Prince Erazim and perform all his tasks for him dailly.

you need a max level horde to get the embassy quest anyway, just level up through Volduun on the way, its not hard.

literally everything can’t be mirrored, theres zero point in trying to do that.

mechagnomes are far more appealing(as it stands not very) than vulpera which are the 4th addition to the ‘Horde is a furry convention’ theme

Mechagon WAS a neutral faction. Quite happy for those horde dirtbags to keep giving us spare parts and helping out rustbolt as we high five them before porting to SW and planning the next alliance maneuver against the Horde.

This is in jest of course.

If it’s any consolation the quest bugged a lot for the Horde who had met the requirements, I ended up doing all sorts on my main Ally char to try and get it to trigger until it was hotfixed.

Now every char I go on gets yelled at about going to help.

I do understand it may seem frustrating but there was a reason. There was no separate faction for that one but if there had been we still would have gone and done it, just like I have for every other faction to unlock the race. Then I go and do the heritage armour unlock which is far far faaaaaaaaaaaar worse.

If you hate playing on a horde character that much, why on earth do you even care if vulpera is unlocked or not? It’s not like you will ever play horde, considering how much you whine about having to play horde.

I would be happy to ONLY play Vulpera. I have a Goblin at max purely to see the other side of the story but don’t really like any of the races of the Horde that much…at least until Vulpera were released. So, for me, the grind for them was frustrating. I like seeing the Horde story but don’t want to have to play it consistently, which I did to get Vulpera, because I do want them, I want them as every class so I don’t have to play anything else.

I agree with OP that it would have been nice if Vulpera were slightly easier to unlock.

with that you get to the core of my problem(i never intended to make this my problem by the way but since you touch it) i actually like zandalari and vulpira shaman(lets be honest they look cool), but i dont play other races throught the campaign to restart again to play what i actually want, its an unecessary loop, now Horde gets to grind as a horde, well this is not right, you cant possible tell me in anyway this is fair!

Why not just be sensible and keep a character of both Factions at max level and with OK gear? I mean I can’t actually unlock Mechagnomes on my Blood Elf currently, same as I couldn’t unlock Void Elves, Kul Tirans, or Lightforged Draenei. I mean I could do the rep grind (and Mechagon is the easiest Repgrind of the new Allied races) but I would still need a level 120 of their respective faction to unlock them. I mean thats just how it works?

Why should Alliance be able to unlock a race without having a 120 on that faction, and Horde not able to do so.

I’m probably missing the crucial point of your argument there, but that doesn’t make sense to me. Whatever the Allied Race, I -need- a level 120 sufficiently geared to unlock the race, of the faction they belong to.

Thats the same for both factions?

We’ve already covered this…You have made some very unpleasant decisions in your past, including vile insults and a despicable attitude towards women. Until you apologise for those, we can rather safely ignore what you have to say in a forum for discussion…

But yes, back on topic, you can’t unlock an Allied race without having a max level character on that faction, because you simply don’t get the unlock quest, unless you have a max level character!
