Make PvP elite sets obtainable past season

I vaguely remember something like this by a vendor in Gadgetzen. Was something I really wanted to get for my mage, so I joined a pvp guild to get the rating to go buy it. If I am not mistaken you only need 1.4k rating to buy those old sets. Or at least that was what I need for the set I wanted.

amount of boosters and wintraders around, it’s pretty much impossible to get the whole sets if you’re not either pro player or have no life outside the game.

I dont want to share cool sets with casual plebs.

those “Casules” plebs are still ethe majoritry, lock the set for only a friction is absured,.
Look at pvp, ther too is a problery 5% of the palyers how beat the raidbossed in the hightest difficuty but still the set are after that expansion averiable for ervyone.

Funny how most people who argue against it, don’t have much constructive things to say aside from “I don’t want to share my special pixels with other players”. All they think about is their own ego in a video game among millions of video games.

I am 2x HoTh and 1x Glad and I feel it is absolutely fine for anyone to get previous year’s Elite sets. Probably Blizzard can let us utilize our dozens of wasted vicious saddles in our inventories for something constructive as a currency for older sets and mounts if possible.

I just farmed my tmog for this specific tmog because I was in love of it. So I found someone to do a Duo in 2v2 and I up my pvp rating.

And I was very happy when I finally got it.

maybe its something, dear no pvp + 8/8 LFRist cannot understant : Work/farm, success, try hard and reward.

It would probably make things way worse. A lot of the people still playing PvP are only doing it for those rewards. Take them away, and they’ll have no reason to stick around. Then you’re left with even fewer players, which makes the whole thing even less fun. WoW PvP is already in a weird spot – it’s not attracting new players because it’s so complicated and the MMO genre is struggling, but removing the rewards would just accelerate its decline. If they change it so you can just wait and get everything later, then why even play in the first place? You could just wait it out and get all the rewards eventually.

Past season tier sets are still obtainable if you just farm old raids, even the mythic tints - why are pvp elite sets the only time-limited sets?

We’ve gotten a lot leniency on m+, with most annoying affixes being removed, no key depletes next season, it’s pretty easy to get mythic tier sets for all classes if you just push content consistently. You don’t lose m+ rating either, unlike pvp rating from losing.

I’ve been in months of rollercoaster of trying to reach just 1.8k rating on one class which sadly isn’t a fotm class. It would be easier if I could just reach same rating on a fotm class and then buy elite appearance for the class I -want- the appearance on (rather than the one I’d be forced to play bc it’s “currently good”).

Blizz does nothing about PvP boosting either, even if it’s literally paying with real money to other people to get you in-game goods. It would be fair that Blizz rewarded players for actually playing the game and letting us have old PvP elite sets similarly to old mythic sets, instead of supporting PvP boosting because of “if you don’t get X rating at X amount of time, it will be lost forever”.

Also, we’ve gotten previously rare and unobtainable mounts through Trading Post. Some things which were marketed with Hero edition of expansion pre-purchase. Wouldn’t it be just fair to make old elite pvp sets purchasable too? Maybe with requirement of “earn X rating this season and once you’ve collected current season elite set, you can purchase an old one for X currency.”

I hope they make this obtainable atlest for old seasons up untill legion like they did with Arena elite mounts

make sense would be fun to farm arena again would make farming ugly sets from now less a goal and old sets looks from old expansions from people whom ended playing more fun to obtain.

bring back old content would be fun to farm the elit set from cata BFA etc

They did this with the TBC sets i hope they make this with seasons from cata to BFA.

Impossible. Whenever this topic is brought up, the premise of “I want to earn something that has been removed”, is sooner or later twisted into “hurr, people just want everything for free.”

Which isn’t remotely the same thing.
