I’m writing this in the hopes that it gets caught by the developers.
With Soul Swap back but now as a PvP talent, Affliction will suffer greatly in PvP because there are more than three talents the spec needs in many scenarios.
Versus melee cleaves, for instance, Affliction needs both Jinx and Impish Instincts. Of course, Soul Swap is always necessary, hence the problem.
But so is Rampant Afflictions. In order to be competitive, so is Nether Ward. You catch my drift. There are too many PvP talents that Affliction needs not to be completely overwhelmed in many PvP scenarios.
I understand Soul Swap was made a PvP talent primarily because it was difficult to balance in PvE. By addressing this issue, I’m hoping the developers can evaluate whether certain PvP talents can be modified back to baseline. After some consideration, it seems Rampant Afflictions is the main contender, freeing up a PvP slot affliction desperately needs.
