I have 2-3 of that stuff in my inv and can’t get rid of it. I don’t want that. I just do LFR for the story. Let me destroy it.

Maybe put them in a domination socket and vendor the item?

THIS! I do lfr for mogs and end up with this waste of bag-space item. Yes, you can add it to the item with a socet and then sell it but I still see no point of not being able to sell/destroy them useless items.
I don’t even have the rep and never will because I don’t do all that stuff. Also you can add it to bank/void space I think but still.
I agree hundred percent ! Got some on my alts ,i don’t even know how and when i got them to be honest, but yeah possibility to delete them would be nice.
I spoke with a GM about it and he said the devs made them indestructible because they are a very important part of the game atm. Maybe for big riders or m+ folks but for me it’s just an annoying item that takes the space up (cos I usually forget to add one to a lfr item before selling it 
).
I don’t know why they made it that way tbh , good ol " type delete " to delete worked fine for important items.

put them in bank untill the next tier ( so you won’t drop new ones) and then destroy them permanently by socketing them in an item and wasting it once you’re done with SoD.
But i don’t have item in which to put it.
if you do SoD you’ll drop one sooner or later.

shards drop in SoD, so no SoD = no shards.
It’s a stupid system we can only work around it, do some LFR, and as soon as you get a domination piece, do the void storage thingie.
Nope ,shards drop somewhere else too ,otherwise i would not have them. Not sure ,but i think it’s a world boss.

I would put them in the bank and forget them till the big clean up for a new expansion. I do think it is a good safety thing to not being able to destroy them. There is a month of grinds into upgrading one.
Good point about them being unique. I guess if those systems take 1month or whatever to farm then it’s a fair failsafe. Better safe than sorry.
I just have no idea about that stuff since I don’t do any raiding nor m+ nor korynthia or whatever it is called.

Can we just remove them completely from the game and get some interesting class/spec-specific bonus sets instead ?
