This would be a very nice QoL change. It wouldn’t really change much in terms of maximum performance but it would help us mitigate bad RNG. Loosing your entire CD because you get a raid mechanic right as you’re going to summon your tyrant just sucks.

I want this for PvP, i don’t think its THAT much needed for PvE.
Include it in the master summoner PvP talent.
I could understand if it was as strong and reliable as stormkeeper, but as it is it makes no sense to make this a cast in PvP.

Or just remove tyrant and replace it with doomguard who literally did the same thing as tyrant with nonshard cost

I think it’s wrong of you to conclude whether it’s needed or not in PvE when you don’t really raid (assumption I make based on the profile of your character. Correct me if I’m wrong).

Target me so you can see my casts, then skip to 4:29 and watch my tyrant setup get absolutely destroyed by a priest using Life Grip, haha. I was standing in the bad, but the plan was to Soulshape blink to safety after my tyrant cast. I’d have been extremely annoyed had it not been so funny. It’s not the first time this has happened, I usually use a magic dampener to avoid it in PUG’s

I did raid in Legion and BfA (even went for Mythic for a few bosses) and didn’t really feel that bad about Tyrant’s cast time. Then again, whenever i decided to raid, i easily hit 25-30% haste out of sheer luck and hence maybe that’s the reason?
Overall, i do think that spells should be instant or have procs and sure Tyrant can be one of them but for me Its not an issue i would mark as “high priority” if you know what i mean.
For example; let’s assume you are going for a solid Tyrant set up, pre-power siphon; you cast dogs, vilefiend, grimoire of felguard, 2x demonbolts, 2x hogs THEN Tyrant. That is 8 GCDs in which 6 of them are casts. And the last one, 9th gcd, Tyrant, is not a long cast anyway.
If they are going to keep the sluggish playstyle of Demo, then yeah, they should make the Tyrant instant but i would rather some other spells as instant too. For example, i strongly believe demonic calling should be baseline. I VERY STRONGLY believe Inner Demons and Soul Strike should be tuned so we can use them in fights that require too much mobility and so on.
It’s such a needed change. The entire setup is plagued with casts and removing the cast time from the tyrant would be such welcome change. I would like some sort of animation that caused it spawn to delay so we could have the last imp spawn in case we just did a HoG.
No, just not, it doesnt need it. But there’s also this great thing, that if you got it, it would make demo way more annoying to play. Because I dont know if your too dumb, or just didn’t know. But you’ll clip your last set of imps by doing so, as they havent spawned in time.
