It was odd playing the lead up to the raid after having cleared it the week before. Even if story mode isn’t still available on day 1 of the raid releasing, the quest chain should be.
I personally don’t mind waiting 1 week; it’s miles better than having to wait up to 3 months like in the past before being able to kill the raid’s final boss.
But sure, day 1 would be nice. I was lucky and able to avoid spoilers (although there’s not much to spoil, honestly).
What I find interesting though:
If you’ve cleared it, story mode obviously isn’t meant for you.
But I still want the context of leading up to the raid, the quest chain had few interesting things that only people that play Normal or above even get to see like the Silken Court or Nexus Princess Ky’veza, which Story Mode completely glosses over and goes straight to Queen Ansurek. So a good middle ground would releasing the quest chain to everyone when the raid releases and the people who play Story Mode get to complete it the week after.
Sure, I can agree with that.
I would ask for LFR to be opened at the same times as the other modes. It’s not like people who use normal/HC/Mythic will go to these for strat as they will be different in other modes.
They would go there for tier sets & OP trinkets.
That’s their problem, right?
Regular players should not care what the 0.5% ‘has to go through’.
This is why I have been advocating for timer-less modes of M+. The general argument against it is that it would lead to degenerate behaviours at highest keys where players wait for cooldowns between every pull and even for Lust to be available before every boss, if not before every difficult pull. (Edit: Or even for runs with 4 tanks and 1 Aug). This in turn would lead to runs exceeding 1 or even 2 hours. I never understood why not let players go through that if they so want those extra points for their ladder game.
