Just for those that are unaware, you can still make your own custom emotes by using the command /e

so if you type: /e kisses and hugs Meep

It will show up in chat as

Twiluna kisses and hugs Meep

There we go, problem solved :3

/e spits on Blizzard for ruining the game in the name of Political Correctness when everything they are changing it literally have never been an issue

For some people the /spit emote can be very triggering in fact. Remember we are a diverse player group and as a result some things can be highly offensive.

Personally I find the /spit emote extremely rude and I am glad they have removed it.

I do hope people use their /e power for good though. Type in something good and wholesome, make someones day a bit brither.

If someone ninjatags a mob right in front of my nose or any such nonsense there will be no good and wholesome emotes; I can tell you that much.

Maybe i am just too old with my 36 years but anyone who gets offended and triggered by an INGAME EMOTE has mental issues and should seek help.

Or maybe it is because i am a pvp player and getting spam emoted, tea-bagged and spam whispered after games is nothing but a daily routine, who knows. :man_shrugging:

Well, I am guess I am not in agreement with you entirely on this. I think being polite in real life is natural and good, so why not extend that to when we play a game.

If someone whispers you bad things and do these other things to you when you do PvP, that is not exactly a good thing, now is it?

Hehe, that can be rather annoying, I will admit. But I just grumble a bit to myself and wait for respawns to be honest.

/e thinks that you’re the son of a motherless ogre.

Hmm… there was an emote that said that. xD

The amount of people who get triggered by facing mage/rogue or RMP even at a low’ish MMR between 1800 and 2k is kinda funny. Sadly it mostly comes in the form of /laugh or /spit a few times at the end of the match but occasionally you do get the rare gem of a person who whispers about how bad you are after they lost to you.

When i did bg’s and saw someone macroing emotes to their abilities i usually made it my mission to hunt down this person at every possible opportunity. Something about living with the consequences of ones actions.

In a nutshell, the game and it’s players has nothing to do with the 4(ss)holes and abusive behaviours of some of the employees at blizzard.
So these pathetic changes are quite unnecessary…

Hmm… Blizz should remove /laugh too when targeting another player.
It’s very rude to laugh at someone… :sob: i cryeverytiem

It’s probably as widely used in PvP as /spit is.

Id re add all the emotes being removed and just make sure they’re not sexualised but still hold and maintain the general purpose.

If you dislike someone you should be using that account wide ignore  then you’ll never see the petty emotes again.
