For some people the /spit emote can be very triggering in fact. Remember we are a diverse player group and as a result some things can be highly offensive.
Personally I find the /spit emote extremely rude and I am glad they have removed it.
Well, I am guess I am not in agreement with you entirely on this. I think being polite in real life is natural and good, so why not extend that to when we play a game.
If someone whispers you bad things and do these other things to you when you do PvP, that is not exactly a good thing, now is it?
The amount of people who get triggered by facing mage/rogue or RMP even at a low’ish MMR between 1800 and 2k is kinda funny. Sadly it mostly comes in the form of /laugh or /spit a few times at the end of the match but occasionally you do get the rare gem of a person who whispers about how bad you are after they lost to you.
When i did bg’s and saw someone macroing emotes to their abilities i usually made it my mission to hunt down this person at every possible opportunity. Something about living with the consequences of ones actions.
In a nutshell, the game and it’s players has nothing to do with the 4(ss)holes and abusive behaviours of some of the employees at blizzard.
So these pathetic changes are quite unnecessary…
