Mak'gora in Lore

Are we seriously comparing thrall to the most evil orc in wow? No one explicitly said no magic thralls a shaman he didn’t cheat

It’s completely irrelevant who we’re comparing him to.
What matters is the reaction of every other orc who witnessed the fight, when one of the fighters started using magic.

. Magic, for example, has never been stated to be forbidden, and has, in fact, been used in multiple Mak’gora duels and thus seems to be permitted.

I wish thralls son becomes an honorable true and big orc warrior to lead the orcs. Thrall cheated in the mak’gora against hellscream and lost his honor. Hellscream was also not a true warrior though, because he let himself get corrupted. Can we get thralls son to become an actual hero warrior and lead the horde back to glory? He has great promise, and the spirits in the orc heritage questline honored him as well. Thrall should become some sort of advisor. I’d like the horde to not have some cringe council like now, and instead have different cities with different leaders, who may ally together. Let the orcs be their own leaders. No cringe council pls.

Without a long history lesson . when the story for warcraft was being created guess who was friends with the developers . Young Chris Metzen . there is a reason they hired him . he was already a 2d artist and a write , and he help them out with warcraft , so they hired him .
What do you think a lore master does ?
I know it’s a new word in your dictionary , because now I am the indirect not part of the studio lore master of the product you put time and effort in and they didn’t have one since guild wars nightfall, but it ain’t just looking .

The rules of a Mak’gora seem to be different between each Mak’gora since they are chosen and set by the participants themselves. Generally, there are thus no specific rules. There are only two consistent themes in all Mak’gora: once dropped, a weapon cannot be retrieved by either opponent and that the pair must fight to the death or until submission. Magic, for example, has never been stated to be forbidden, and has, in fact, been used in multiple Mak’gora duels and thus seems to be permitted. Similarly, many Mak’gora duels have involved both fighters wearing body armor as well, but it can also be forbidden when explicitly required.

Please , put your gaze on Garrosh.
What is he wearing , how is he fighting , and what happens in the fight .

You can use magic. Thrall did and people say he didn’t cheat so it can’t be against the rules?

Yes, I think thrall decided in the end to cheat and be dishonorable, but to do the right thing. At the beginning he avoided using his shamanistic forces. This explains the bitter vibe after the fight was over. Thrall was willing to sacrifice his honor for the greater good of his people. Thrall is truly respectable, but he was not honorable. It makes thralls character very deep though, while hellscream can’t take accountability for his actions like a tyrannic child and blames thrall for his own corruption. Make no mistakes, hellscream is a true warrior, but he’s not heroic and he is also corrupted by old gods.

I’ve been reading a lot of the lore about orcs in this game, and the coolest orc warrior by far is broxigar.

Garrosh Hellscream is the biggest orc traditionalists . In the fight , his wearing no armor , his only weapon is his fathers axe Gorehowl, and until thrall losses it not a spell is cast.
Garrosh could have easily use any trick under his sleeve that includes magical , but he didn’t , because Garrosh is a massive orc traditionalists.

While the writers outside of the WoW team bend the rules of Mak’gora . the WoW team held to these rules.

Look at the fight . Even though , they bend the rules a little , by allowing them to wear armor both Varok Saurfang and Sylvanas Windrunner follow the no casting of spells rule until Sylvanas losses it and brakes the rule . And what is use for ? To show she has not honor.

I sometimes wonder why Saurfang challenged Sylvanas to Mak’gora.
Why would a former High Elven and an undead banshee even care about an Orc warrior tradition and it’s rules.

++ the elements left him and he lost his shamanic abilities.

That is theoretical. No one knows, why he doesn’t use the elements . He just doesn’t. Some say it is the elements. Some he doesn’t want to. He just feels guilt over Garrosh. That is all we know.

Perhaps this will answer your question .

He feels the shame because he FORCED elements with his disdain towards garrosh to kill him, it’s like when Jedi uses dark side of the force to execute someone, it’s also the reason why he can’t speak with elements anymore, he feels Shame because he used dark shaman way to control elements

He’s not wearing armour so therefore magic’s forbidden? Not how it was thrall challenged garrosh to makgorah thrall won fair and square

Death magic is totally differant to shamanism

Gul’dan Cheats

I will need a quote , because he never says any of this. He never spacious the reason , he just no happy he did it .

look at the chat. Apparently you people know the lore better than more people than some countries population. it’s all most like you don’t know anything and you know the lore only by the wiki that doesn’t care about if the story their refracting is lore accurate or not. Majority of people know mak’gora as no magic . I wonder where they got impression . Couldn’t be from the game that is primarily written by WoW team and the books and comics the wiki is refracting are written by writers that didn’t care about the canon. All most like the wiki isn’t the best source for lore.
The WoW team has disregarded a lot of stuff from the books and the comic. There is a whole Orc guardian multiple comics story missing , if you don’t believe that .
In fact , one of the biggest problems Wikipedia that is known from the start is their lack of impartiality and questionable sources.

What do you think ancestral magic is?
