Making Transmogging easier

I’ve just thought why can’t we search for Transmog in the in game windows by colour?

It would make putting together a Transmog so much easier.

Are there any addons that do this?

The main addon, Mogit, allows you to do that but it’s not very accurate, which explains why Blizzard haven’t done it.

You could look at websites where people post transmogs and see what they use with the item you want to use.

Simply answear is that it takes a lot of work to make it work well. You would need to go through each piece and assign for it a list of colors it has by hand. Then there is a perception problem. People see colors slightly differently as proven by the famous “what color is that dress” debate on the internet. So depending on what person would assign list of colors you can have different results and you might disagree with some of them.

I remember suggesting a similar thing sometime ago! I feel a basic colour coder/filter would really help especially with those items that have tiny borders and have recolours. WotLK glove recolours come to mind here, where they are fully black with slight stitching. The pixelation and minimal zooming allowance make the exact stitch shade difficult to discern.

That’s not green, that’s teal! NO IT’S BLUE YOU BLIND GOAT!

What we realy miss is “random” transmogs, just press it once and it will mog you in total random stuff fiting your class/spec/wep and your collection.

I’m sure someone could make an Add-on for that, give that authentic Vanilla/Classic clown look. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks I’ll take a look at Mogit, I only have Can I Mog it? atm.

I know a lot of things are multi-coloured, but could have a base colour listing.

but what would be the base colour of things? how do you define that?

is it yellow or green or brown?

white or orange/darker red?

is it silver or purple?

thats the problem and why it wouldnt work. there has to be a census what base colour each armor piece is and that might vary on who you ask.

There is a addon called TransmogRoulette and does pretty much what you’d think, gives you a randomise button in your transmog window that will pick entirely by random your transmog, it’s quite cool when you don’t really care what you want to wear.
