yeah I don´t like it either. I preferred spending soulshards on UA.
No UA is good now, we need this for pvp. I would say, let MR work like UA in BfA.

Hard really hard, but i played 2s with a shadow and he had bad latency. So we lost a lot of games. But it is playable.
I live the dot and rot style. For me it was a struggle in the beginning in du used to demo. But im getting better slowly
If MR is going to stay as a spender they should make it worth casting; make it cost 3 shards, triple the damage.
I like it myself, don’t want it radically altered, think it is fine.

Just give us malefic grasp, it was visually cool, it created ST pressure, there was lot of things that could been done with it, it actually affected damn DOTs.
Or, OR… if blizz loves fugly, annoying, boring MR so much do this:
Since we have split AoE and Single target branches anyway. Let us pick between Malefic Rapture as a AoE and Malefic Grasp as ST. Each with own branch (either change SoC or integrated it into same branch as MR).
Do you have any other lock outside of lv 60 classic lock? Because right now it seems you just wanna pi*s off retail locks. I am sure you understand.
True give Back malefic Grasp or give us an instant dot like devouring plague to use as spender…MR is so bad!!! and more ways to apply dots
You can even play arena without using MR and still win… it is not worth getting called a Spender Ability
I think it’d be great if it replaced Seed of Corruption as an AoE spender, and scaled mainly from the total number of DoT’s overall, rather than the amount of DoT’s on a specific target.
You’d then make Vile Taint baseline with a short (8-12 seconds) cooldown and have it apply Agony, Corruption and Unstable Affliction to all mobs within a it’s radius.
There. We now have modern standard AoE spell, and could re-balance cleave with Soul Swap and single target with DoT’s and drains.
And add Death’s Embrace as an capstone talent.
