M+Algeth'ar Academy Tree boss - pls nerf this already FFS

dunno which dumb idiot developer thought this was okay. It’s not okay. You cannot clear the bleed due to mechanic overlap and the damage is simply unhealable. Unless you wanna give us mass LoH on 2s cooldown?

Also, the NPC saying “there’s only this much Life Magic can do” when your group wipes, and each time i hear it it makes me wanna reach through my screen and punch them in the face. Hapless idiotic “professors” who behave worse than students.

I agree it can get overwhelming as a healer and is mana draining fight especially if your group have no idea how to manage the fight and adds. Its also a key buster boss.

The problem I have found is that most players and especially ranged players, constantly tunnel the boss and ignore the adds. If they just simply crowded the boss and have the adds spawn as close as possible, they could cleave the adds before they activate. Interrupting the mini tree will instantly bring him to the boss and they can take it down immediately.

Ignoring this tactic makes the fight extremely stressful and the dungeon unenjoyable.

Did you try cleaving boss down Through adds?
And btw if you interupt the tree you can position it and BTW you can even put the little adds where you want if your group is not full of braindead people :smiley:
BOss casts adds i think every 15 seconds or so
That’s how much time you have to cleave down old adds …if you can’t you gonna be overwhelmed
That boss is very simple if you understand what you doing
and it is the hardest boss of the dungeon when you are unable to think as human

DO not blame developers for designing this
it’s the people

You know that you decide when the add dies, yes? You don’t have to kill it when it’s standing in all the swirlies from germinate.

The healer can’t carry every M+ group, and timing utility spells can cut the HPS requirement of a boss by half.

I needed 50k HPS to beat the tree this week at +14 and saw streamers heal it with 35k at 18-20…

But yes, compared to all the other bosses in the instance this one is a bit overtuned.

I understand you may feel that way since you’ve only done this on +8. xD
On tyranical, from 10 and higher, this becomes absolutely mental. I’ve timed 11 just recently, me and tank alive when we killed the tree, my backside still cramping from all the clenching!

it’s funny that everyone runs to the tree on 10+. and after the first wipe, the group will be dissolved. just embarrassing the whole thing.

and how is anyone supposed to heal the dungeon with garbage gear from m+ anyway? next week i have a choice of 3x ilvl 408 parts. pfff… until i get usable gear, most people are overgeared with imba stuff from raids and have terminator rating. I will certainly not waste my time for hours in the tool looking for a group.

I mean, if you didnt kill the tree with lust and foodbuff, what chance do you stand without it. Unless it’s no-leaver group, I don’t see a point.

I thought you healers wanted squishier tanks because they could pull a whole room in M0 content?

that’s how crass bl is. and often someone has overlooked something small and then it can no longer be cured or someone is dead. It can happen.

but I think it’s good that the crybabies are about to leave. because otherwise they would most likely later leave the boss of someone else or flame someone and then the motivation will be in the basement and nobody wants to continue playing.
At least that way I save a lot of time.

Once you know the strat, it is fairly easy.

It’s called dispel :joy:
You have to dispel the stacks from the small adds , and you have to stay in the circle to clear the 1 minute dot , The green circle from one of the npcs .

You know that the only thing that is going up with key lvl is %%%%HP/DMG?
the mechanics stays the same doesn’t matter if it’s 8 or 12
you will just get hit harder therefore you will not be able to burst down the tree
therefore you will need to do lot more dmg and play the mechanic better
But it will stay the same till +20 for example

I timed 10 jade and 11 Shadowmoon no boss was hard on tyrannical there
maybe first one because people in this game still don’t know where to put a debuff and no one told them to not put it around boss
I just don’t understand how people saying things like 10 is now harder? there is only new affix and little more dmg from a +9

Literally the easiest boss on higher m+. Find people who can actually kill adds, stun and interrupt
