Malwarebytes reporting wowhead ad virus

I know about false positives and this might be one, However my malwarebytes premium is reporting that one of the ads on wowhead is “compromised” and it has blocked it from loading. I know this has happened in the past with ads on Wow websites and this could be a false positive but just putting this out there for people to know.

Maybe someone who is better with this type of stuff can look into it or knows any information. Also to let everyone know to be careful incase it isn’t a false positive (It most likely is)

WoWhead is what convinced me to download adblockers. I’ve heard they are better with thier ads these days but i used to get so many weird things on my PC when i frequented that site a couple of years ago. I even got a warning from Windows Defender when visiting the site one day.

I use Firefox with strict “enhanced tracking protection” and the uBlock addon.

I don’t feel guilty for using an ad-blocker because I wouldn’t click on ads even if I had to see them.

Wish there was another site like Wowhead, coz they hired their mods from North Korea apparently.

AdBlock all the way, you can’t be too careful these days.

AdBlock sold out and has been whitelisting for money for some time.

uBlock is where it is.

Updated, thanks for the info

well they have a lot of questionable advertisers so i wouldn’t go there without maximum protection

my windows defender doesn’t really report anything on wowhead
that said I have like 7 different popup, adds, script and other undesirables blocker addons in my browser running simultaniously (many have overlap and do multiple of the things) which honestly has made my browser experience feel fool proof no matter how crunchy the site I’m visiting, I doubt anything even gets past for windows defender to report on.
