Maybe it’s just me, but a patch note saying “Fixed a bug” is hardly enough. It’s a bug that has been around for something like a year, causing lot of people to farm the boss week after week for the mount that couldn’t even drop. Sure, bug is finally found and fixed, now how about compensating people for all the time they wasted?
The game tracks how many times anyone’s killed Malygos, so if Blizzard wanted to, they could run a script to reroll for the mount for each of your kills, maybe providing you a mount in a mailbox. But that would require some effort, now wouldn’t it? I get it, lot of work for no pay. Maybe we could start with an actual apology, that doesn’t cost much?
Personally, my kill count is past 400. “Time well spent”.
Mate, it’s a 1-boss raid. Sure it sucks for those who tried to get it but, mate, really…
Also, even if you got it after 400 kills, it’s not time well spent. Farming old content for mounts is super dumb and you should feel bad. Well done, mate.
If you are looking for the mount collection achievements then farming old raids is a weekly task - just like farming older Rep etc.
It’s an important aspect of the game for a lot of subscribers - so hardly dumb
That rate mount drop will be relevant for many many years - unlike gear which will be obsolete within 6 months?
I tend to say go with the flow - they are 100 to 1 shots anyway - so not worth losing sleep over - but when you see there was a bug preventing even a slim chance
Players would rightly suggest some compensation was due from Blizz
I too give old raid mount a chance sometimes but some people take it to the extreme like some maniacs. I remember someone on the forum wrote they would use 50 characters to fight apothecaries 50 times a day as long as the love event happens just so they’d get the big love rocket lmao.
That’s crazy.
Search wowhead or forums and see ppl counting their oondasta or sha of fear kills in thousands… that’s dumb and they cry how painful it is… who forces them to do it? That’s why I don’t feel bad about them. That’s why I find it dumb.
As for me, I’m missing Blazing drake for the drake collector achiev and you know what? Idgaf… might do an odd DS run once in a blue moon and that’s it. no crazy farming. even if it’d be bugged, idc.
